  1. I’m only around 15 minutes but once I go out and come back then I don’t feel like doing anything else. I’m not sure whether I has anything to do with 48 years of truck driving like that little errand just knocked me out for the rest of the day
  2. What I really hate is when you think you got everything and you have to drive back somewhere to get one little thing you forgot and it always seems to be the first thing you need before you can do anything else. Bob

  8. But they tell me they inspection station is a real pain in the ass these days leaning on us for everything I don’t know what’s up with that for those of you that don’t know anything about it it’s just a chickenshit little one bay inspection facility
  9. I’m also starting to wonder if some states are just bypassing the axles and going by overall weight , Utah port of entry Is the only one I know about I passed my meet driver off A trailer while back the front box was overweight 2000 pounds for a single axle, he took it over Bonneville scale and went right through funny part is he really didn’t even give it a thought I told him it was too heavy just to let you know.? Great answer fellas. Thanks for that. Bob
  10. You might want to search the web Stewart warner has retro gauges available. They are very nice looking and very close to original as far as stock goes. Good luck that’s all I got and yes that looks like quite the ride. Photos welcome ha ha… bob

  17. Ha ha my brand not sure how this conversation keeps swinging one way to the next interesting to follow. I guess in a shop talk could include anything including paps blue ribbon it’s the best I used to drink Budweiser for years and years. Once they sell the company it doesn’t have any more flavor….. Pabst is still full on…. Bob
  18. The brand new ones are a dream to drive, although the three axle rides, real rough over bumps, everything clings and bangs seat, chatters other than that they’re smooth and quiet, full of power takeoff fast pull hard and run down the road faster if I could keep this thing going it will be my last truck…bob
  19. I am also the same age. Glad you’re OK. I’m pretty much the same way. Just keep plugging along like i was 20 .. don’t have too many health issues, but one never knows I do drink too much, but I’ve been trying to control it. Best of luck to you, bud. Bob

  21. Yes Joey this job has been beating me to death past couple of weeks as well as driving spare tractors I decided to go a little longer a while back to get some expensive home repairs done yes I would love to leave now, but I’m going another nine months end of next August will be it … but I’ve mentioned I’m not leaving. Going to run a forklift and a yard hustler over there part time no more roadwork. Long shifts too many issues. Happy Saturday bud. Thanks for your input still sipping coffee trying to wake up.
  22. OK kind of confusing. The one with the bad transmission is still at Peterbilt the next one I was supposed to drive starting Monday just came out of the shop yesterday. Let’s see how that goes over three months without a CB or XM excited to get it or brand new truck let’s hope this thing is not constantly breaking.. bob
  23. OK thanks for that. I don’t know why that hose is so thick. It’s 5/16 inner 11/16 outer. I’m going to take the parts into that hydraulic shop right next to Fedex Tuesday morning see what he has to say I’m exhausted but it’s gonna be a pretty good day. I’m gonna go out there in a little while and mess around with it changing a Maxi valve that’s been leaking the entire time I’ve had it got a brand new one then I have to put my leave blower together. Like you fellas back there I have got attire yard full of them. Job has been beating me to death as well as being sick since Monday right now I’m just guzzling coffee trying to come around Stayed up too late. Watching rawhide last night on DVD wound up sleeping till 830.
