  1. Clearly officials have not kept up with the times professional truck drivers are very few nowadays that’s about all I’m gonna say ha ha you know the rest
  2. Yeah, but look at all that gorgeous flavor. Thanks for the photos…. Bob
  3. Tires are ridiculous these days blew a tire yesterday drove right into loves no service call tire was over $700
  4. You forgot to throw in the TV tube tester everybody used to have ha ha I know it’s a bit off the subject but it came to mind. Oh the good old days I sure miss them all though I blew a tire yesterday I had to go to loves in Winnemucca if any of you fellas ever use them. These guys are very slow.. but I was sitting in the office waiting for the repair and I noticed they were selling batteries for 160 apiece big 12 V I thought that was a pretty fair deal for a road service outfit
  5. My uncle used to own a Jenny station back there somewhere around 1968. He let me serve one of his customers I had to crank it one way to clear the numbers then the other way to start the pump. I was pissing my pants at 12 years old. I have seen that spinning circle but I don’t remember if my uncle had that type. I do remember putting $6.75 and a Cadillac. I couldn’t believe how much this car took…. Bob
  6. Death is not really easy to deal with. Sorry about that. It happens to all of us but it sure doesn’t make it any easier. My wife just lost her mother went to the funeral today. She is taking it pretty good but she also got to go to the beach in San Diego and swim in a pool and eat Mexican food so I’m sure that made it a little easier
  7. You’re the first one I ever seen do that looks great
  8. Hell, I just spotted this jalapeños????? Gods gift baby. If nothing else you can find lots of faces in a jar there’s a perfect one right at the top. Thanks for the post Bob. … Bob

  12. Frankly I never thought is a good thing to begin with
  13. That’s the way Oregon used to be at least as if 2005
  14. Oh, I forgot to mention we do have one full service station here left full repair bays and a gasoline jockey chevron 4th and interstate 80 if you need them
  15. And Tom, if you’re listening look what you started come on back ha ha… Bob
  16. And TJ I completely forgot about that. You could set the bell off by running it over with a bicycle, but I think you could also step on it and it won’t go off
  17. Yes fellas it seems like we were more happy in the 70s I was talking to a buddy of mine. I grew up with while back who runs a body shop he says you know I have to work harder now than I did in the 70s I said yes, we all do And Larry I watched somebody do that one time it wasn’t my bike or my tire. Somebody at the service station kept pumping air into their tire until it blew out. I don’t know when this kid thought he was going to quit pumping it was kind of funny to watch, but at the same time I felt sorry for him at 10 years old . …. Bob
  18. OK thanks right now I’m looking for a rebuild kit with the sector Shaft, bearing I was originally going to look for a rebuilt box, but I really don’t think I need any more than a kit and the bushing Thanks for all your information…. Bob

  20. Hell speaking of shutters stats I don’t even know if you’re gonna get them anymore last one I bought was 40 years ago in Los Angeles
  21. I have that Mac order is manual, but it is buried somewhere and yes I have seen a lot of westerns with that metal gauge set up looks good
  22. From what I remember, it seemed like it had to tachograhs side-by-side on the driver side by side on the driver side they had a certain name for that type of dashboard
  23. I have only seen that entire dashboard set up in a owners manual I believe it was an R model manual from around 1970
  24. Oh my God those things were everywhere. Yes, I completely forgot about it.
  25. Oh, I got to thinking a little further. I completely forgot back on those days you couldn’t even really buy anything at all after five or 6 o’clock everything was closed. Bob
