  2. At your age are used to have the same mentality at 67. I’m sick to death of it all of it. Once we lost all the conversation I was pretty much mentally done with the whole racket. Glad you’re enjoying yourself. I wish I still could instead I can’t wait to retire ha ha. Sad thing about it is my checks are huge and it’s going to be tough to give up all the green. …. Bob
  3. Come to think of it. I also had a 64 Ford pick up with a 292 four-speed that was a running SOB paid 600 bucks for it. Low mileage drove the shit out of it for six years and then sold it for the same price. I don’t think that engine had the same oiling problem as the 312 a guy on machine shop explain to me why that was he said it was a flaw from Ford. And for a while, you could buy an oiling kit for them.
  4. If I ever do get started on my DM, I’m going to strip it down just like he did and start with painting the cab inside and out… we used to have those alcohol evaporator’s on our whites back in the Nissens days Bob
  5. And yes Tom, I finally got through the whole gallery. Excellent first of all nice to see a collection that’s not entirely Alcoa wheels ha ha ready to work that’s what I like to see. Thanks again bud for doing all that. … Bob
  6. Dark hair chick with the black on I could probably hang out with her a while
  7. Well, I thought I better finish my boring old people story. The reason I sold the 57 my ex-wife landed a cream, puff 64 Thunderbird for 100 bucks. Somebody lost the keys and the title was the reason the car was so cheap. I am not sure still why the low low price. And there was nothing wrong with the title at all it was clean. They just lost it car. Ran like a champ and looked good all for 100 bucks. You’re sure I don’t find much deals like that.Bob
  8. I think we talked about this before. I also had one 57 2 door wagon 312 beautiful style really liked the dashboard and the steering wheel but the gas that common oiling issue. Most of them had I never did anything with it .. sold the car after a while all I can think about is that loud engine ha ha. Click click click click click click. I had a hell of a time getting rid of it for some reason wound up selling it to a junkyard for almost nothing. I don’t know why I couldn’t get rid of that thing. Somewhere around 1986. Southern California
  9. Wow, that was excellent. Thanks for the post… Bob

  14. Huntleys DM yeah baby but I barely scratched the surface haha thanks so much for posting Tom… your the best I’m for sure going next year inspector Clouseau doesn’t know it yet, but it will be my last year of driving my income will go down considerably after that but I am for sure. Going out there every summer for watts show for sure. I don’t care if I have to sell apples to get the money.ya hear me??? Bob
  15. One more thing I thought I would add especially the 62 car was immaculate inside and out. Just needed a paint job. That’s the one I really regret Southern California car body was cherry. All the chroma is good. Just scratch it up and shoot it that’s all it needed. I got it with a bum transmission C4 I rebuilt it and had it and great running condition still kicking myself. What a stupid move..
  16. Funny, you mention that Joey I have had a lot of cars in my time and the only 2 I would like to have back we’re both station wagons, one owner clean cars. I was really lucky to get that the time 55 Chevy and a 62 Ford. I regret selling both of them.
  17. Forgot to add that was just a quick job me and brother-in-law gas grill…. I ordinarily use charcoal for bigger gatherings I know a lot of your fellows use gas but to me, it seems to take most of the charm and romance out of the affair Bob
