  1. I remember back in the 80s we had a fella like that Los Angeles Mack dealership real nice guy. He was a German from the old country. Funny thing his name was max …had the accent complete crackerjack he was there fuel pump man I was floored just to hear him talking about the many parts inside a pump …are used to trade with them all the time I knew everyone in there …and they would lend me tools kind of getting off the subject but those old days are sure gone I don’t even think the dealership is there anymore … but again there’s very few people walking around as smart as this guy was… Bob
  2. God love the old-timers all we got now is snub nose kids around us … sorry Joey it’s the circle of life. Nothing any of us gonna do about it. Everybody goes away sometime or another another 20 years will all be gone. Hopefully it’s so much better place than this ha ha and you know what I mean. Thanks for the cool story…. Bob

  7. I am not sure it looks like it without that windshield cover. The guy had a very interesting handle and I can’t remember it…. Truck was definitely gorgeous when he got it done….. Bob

Do you know I grow up with Macks and brockways East Coast move to California in 1980 and I never really cared for the peterbuilt at all until I was out of here about 30 years finally they grew on me I do like them now… yes I like that new model but I do like the 379 better although as I mentioned, I do like that new design and yes they have Kenworth beat by a mile. It looks like the same cab as I have on my 57.9 Pete thanks for the post… Bob

  14. It don’t end there ….I can’t believe how snobby everybody is nowadays in truckstops. It wasn’t always like that places used to be a lot of fun conversation everywhere now nobody even looks at me . Don’t know what happened through the years but now I really don’t even care one way or the other 3/4 of them are steering wheel holders nowadays anyway ha ha

  16. Yes for sure also take more time before trying to start it you should be able to turn engine by holding the fan belt turn on the fan
  17. Sounds like your throw out bearing is stuck. If you can get up in there and spray all around it my God how long is that thing been sitting?Bob

  20. Not sure if I mentioned I’ve been running one since 1976 and I can’t believe how quiet it is now I’ve run 530 miles a day across 80 absolutely nothing entire away just like I have it turned off I generally run our company channel and look for our guys
