  1. You know I heard in 1965. Mack trucks was in some kind of financial distress. Not sure what that was all about but then the new models came out later that year and everything exploded for them. I read somewhere that they was record sales somewhere around 68 to 1970 for mack trucks. I don’t doubt that
  2. Not as bad as loosing my rental car tried to leave I couldn’t remember which way I came in had to flag down one of those golf cart guys and he help me find it. I was kind of embarrassed.Over 900 trucks had a blast.met lotsa people I’ll be back tomorrow. Bob
  3. Good love you for walking away as the problem. Most of the big money is rolling all night in a freight truck . I did it for 40 years not sure if you guys have waste management in your area but it’s a union job pays real well and it’s all day work. That’s what I would do if I had a start over.

  11. That no bar BS as a real pain in the ass I dumped AT&T long time ago and went to Verizon because there was a stretch of road. Didn’t get any signal around 200 miles that was singular had something to do with AT&T I don’t remember what that was all about. Signal is horrible.
  12. and yes, it’s very hard to find Independent truckstops. I’ve never really used a whole lot of them other than fuel ….. driving a freight truck most of my life always had hotels, restaurants, and a lunchbox
  13. Excellent thanks for that fried chicken that’s another thing that’s hard to get around here. Nobody knows how to cook it. Believe it or not. KFC has got some pretty good stuff. I don’t know what happened over there for years. I did not care for their food at all past 15 years I’ve been three of them. The food was amazing.

  22. as I mentioned, Geoff truckstops are all different now all they want is kids food and that’s all anybody wants nowadays most of them. Just stop there to piss in their parking lot and keep on rolling. of course it doesn’t matter to me anymore anyway, I really don’t need them now myself. I do all meets and turns with Fedex. And even that will be ending soon.
  23. We went back to our favorite Mexican restaurant after Covid. We left $100 tip to the waitress. It was worth the bread to see the chick chasing us out the door and couldn’t thank us enough. We told her it wasn’t anything at all you need it we do not neither one of us miss any work at all and the old lady never missed 10 minutes of work during that and in fact my wife was working for bicycle supply warehouse and they were beating her to death with overtime essential business.
  24. Yes Reno it’s really hard to find Italian food here. Also fried chicken seafood, Chinese and China food good luck believe it or not the best China food I’ve had here was at a supermarket China express. At raleys I’m sure you fellas never heard of it. It’s an expensive supermarket, chain northern Nevada. And northern California.
