  2. Excellent thanks for that I’ll probably going to get into it pretty soon if I ever finish the two I’ve had close to 20 years… bob
  3. Yes, just as Joey says you should be able to get a few thousand out of it at least there’s lots of members on here close to that area I’m sure one of them would be more than happy to go up and give you a hand. I would do it myself, but I am way out in Reno, good luck bud. Yeah losing your parents sucks big time. .. bob
  4. thats what i was doing
  5. I’ve only seen a couple of those in my life and I want to stay. It has only been in pictures and yes they are odd looking. But at the same time they’re not the worst looking rig I’ve ever seen they’re kind of cool.
  6. Short single axle bobtailing will beat the hell out of you, so maybe you got something there.. bob
  7. And then again, what I twin Drive tractor. They write a lot smoother anyway than the single axle. And yes I’m sure now we have you all confused ha ha. Good luck bud… bob
  8. Got more snow coming here soon, but most of it is gonna be on donner pass it’s not far from here but usually the weather is nothing like it is up there expecting 5 feet so at least they won’t be crying about our water table cut back on your watering all that thanks hippie
  9. Yes, there’s no end to Google search but sometimes people live in an area where there isn’t really a whole lot. Good luck. Whatever you do from where I sit it seems like you’re easiest and cheapest way is to repair what you have . I’m sure if you go with the air suspension. That’s going to be a lot of modification when you get it all set and blow a bag. Another consideration, I drive a brand new Peterbilt three axle with air and Bob tailing. It really doesn’t seem much different than spring ride. put its you’re ride, you decide
  10. but I think Mike made a comment at one point. The cab over all is really not too hard to look at and yes I agree.bob
  11. I noticed the same thing didn’t see the New Hampshire inspection, but I did see the license tag that look like Massachusetts…. also noticed that I already made a smart ass remark about Volvo. I hate them the world needs to know.lol… bob
  12. Probably did the same thing I did a while back I punched in 2024 and I got that one
  13. They sure beat the hell out of a Volvo don’t care for them at all Thanks for the post
  14. I was running I five in California at the time coppers are pretty cool at night, but in the daytime they lean on you pretty good and hide and real good spots
  15. It only had a top end 62 miles an hour. I had them bump it up to 70 but I wound up getting three speeding tickets and one month probably a bad move
  16. That was the E6 350 and it had a nine speed fuller
  17. Not a big cabover fan but that was my favorite work truck overall came from Ryder got a hell of a price on it vlad says he has one just like mine it was an 83 model
  18. That’s what I had that was a running SOB I traded in the R model and bought a cruise liner with a big engine. It was very impressive.
  19. I’ll never forget a Mack truck salesman in LA quoted yeah man it’s like your pulling back on the reins I said yes that’s just what it feels like and then I got that 350 Thermadyne afterwards my god what a difference
  20. From what I remember, even a pretty good headwind would pull you down to nothing even on flat ground
  21. Yes sir I know all about it small grade you gotta lug it down to 35 before you can drop a gear. It seems like it takes forever and yes I used to go up a grapevine loaded down doubles 40,000 pounds and around 12 miles an hour.
  22. I’ve heard that before. The old timer is out here. Tell me they used to put a bucket of ice near the heater vent and turn the blower on high. It would help a little bit not a whole lot to keep you cool before everybody had air-conditioning I remember myself going out to Yuma Arizona to pick up lemons middle of the summer, it was like 150° out R model no AC I was only 26 at the time I just ruffed it out at 67. I don’t think I would’ve even attempted it.
  23. He still works full-time and he said he’s been pretty involved with his grandbabies lately not sure what that’s all about
  24. I was going to say that I also ran the 6 speed 2 stick 237. I hated that thing and yes the biggest problem they are flat ground trucks. Are perfect for City work.
  25. This is the worst one. I don’t think it would make it very far but I did drive a truck home 35 miles when I first bought it the tires were a little better shape.
