  1. Yes, I did not want it to be loud but the stock style underneath Muffler was a lot more expensive and it looked like it was more of a pain in the ass to set it up in there
  2. I’m sure Mike would have all the answers, but we hardly hear from him
  3. OK four days off I hardly did anything weather wasn’t so great around here. I finally went out there today and put the two big ones on then I got to the point where I was gonna have to get a little dirtier so I pulled the plug. Hopefully I can get her all done Saturday morning I’ll certainly do my damnedest
  4. Well, I’m sure we all remember back in the day. They were very loud. It was really hard to talk back-and-forth and the older iron I remember riding with my pop and the U models 68, 6970 they were very loud inside.
  5. I was unable to open these.. bob
  6. But for sure to me, it looks like that truck was stored indoors for quite a while And yes, for 8000 it would have to be in good running condition.
  7. Yes, I probably mentioned around here. Western star is selling a lot of them.
  8. I have heard of aftermarket overhaul parts, but haven’t heard anything solid on anything. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were the same overall parts but no I do not know. Fortunately, my engine runs well with great oil pressure and hopefully I don’t have to put anything in it that is impossible to find. I’ve had four days off and done almost nothing the entire time yesterday I didn’t even get dressed.
  9. It was probably the same deal one lane each direction. Cool story thanks for that. My mom only row with my pup. Once old Brockway around 1955. She said she did not care for it at all. It was too loud and very bouncy. Ha ha.. bob
  10. Well, your guess is good as mine as far as I remember E6 is a 676 Oh sure Joey would know good luck… bob
  11. We’re all hoping for a better globe. I don’t know if any of you fellas familiar with this song by Temptations it’s one of my favorites someday at Christmas
  12. Same here bud,,,,,, you are always very interesting never forget your entire roof replacement you shared with us video taped every minute of it … you are the best… bob
  13. Sorry, cannot help you welcome back
  14. Plus one more thing I don’t think the seller really knows a whole lot about it wondering why they’re calling it a car hauler
  15. Yes, I mean that sucker is in really good condition. I mean I really doesn’t need a whole lot just a few years ago I would’ve thought that was a little high but nowadays everything‘s going up so fast 8000 doesn’t really seem like a whole Lotta money especially when it doesn’t really need that much work, or at least it does not look like it does
  16. I plan on dropping my pan eventually just to check everything out Old engine I would rather be sure everything is OK And catch any issues before they turn into a major mountains
  17. Let me rephrase check the tolerances,, especially wrist pin free, free play from a photograph your cylinder. Walls appear to be in pretty good shape.
  18. Rod mains and wrist, pins , are an absolute must once you get it that far down that’s what I would do then if you’re going to go that far might as well do the cylinders kits good luck
  19. Don’t think it’s gas. It says Thermodyne breather looks diesel and those two fuel tanks pretty good price. I don’t think it will last long as that.
  20. That thing looks extremely clean. Thanks for that.
  21. Excellent thanks for sharing. And yes I understand. Donner pass was single lane both directions old highway 40
  22. I wound up with a brand new lawnmower couple years ago. Guy decided to go to electric, and he just gave me the gas job for free. It was almost new. He even brought it over here. I didn’t even have to go get it that doesn’t happen very often.
  23. Besides hard to say no to freebies
  24. Oh yeah, those things are insanely helpful when moving I even use it quite a bit around here to move stuff around just use it a couple of months ago to relocate a broken generator that I don’t know I’ll ever get to ha ha
  25. I bought a heavy duty one at Costco a few years back I use it quite a bit. It also collapses to horizontal position with four wheels on the ground it was around 75 bucks
