  1. my sister was telling me massachusetts is way over run with illegals latest caper,,,now they gotta bunch of them driving cars and banging into people with no license and or no insurance ,,,,she is moving to south carolina soon bought a condo there,,,,she cant wait to get out of there number of reasons lol bob
  2. after a fresh look at it after a few days ,,,, all the broken fiberglass,doesnt look nearly as bad....underneath is all in good shape,truck spent most of its life in texas,,,,had an easy day today,,,,boss asked me yesterday,,,,if i would come in and do 3 hrs of HM training and then go home,,,i say yeah yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....2-1/2 hrs later i was a free man rest of the day,,,,ran some errands...picked up more sanding supplys got a haircut and worked on my pickup...small job 20 minutes...bob
  3. this is probably not what your looking for but mine doesn't have anything like that behind the fenders and the hinges just bolt to the fiberglass DM offset cab,,,im thinking someone put those on for possible fiberglass repair reinforce...bob

  6. Besides that I could brainwash myself into believing, I’m getting lots of experience as I move onto another area as well as jacked up to see the improvements as I go along right now I’m dreading every grinding session .. bob
  7. Thanks for the hot tip I generally suit up Home Depot, throw away,plastic overalls, goggles mask gloves I’m starting to think maybe I otta strip and repair one area at a time so it won’t feel so overwhelming with constant grinding … bob

  16. Ooooh Matt,,,forgot to mention my best childhood pal now owns a body shop in Tennessee,,,, I was just talking to him the other day on the phone and told him what I was doing and he pretty much said the obvious as we were discussing… get rid of all the old repairs and start fresh … bob

  20. Yeah I don’t know what it is either. I had one crack on me. I just happened to have my hand right on it turning a corner and it cracked right under my hand. It wasn’t even that hot out it was a white 9000 way way back long time ago.

  23. Thanks for that but yeah that’s exactly what I’m going to do fiberglass outside and inside. I’ll probably gonna have to put a little sheet metal pieces in to hold back since some of the spots are completely bare. I need suppling back there to hold the web. Thanks for the tip but I have not bought a can of Bondo and 30 years really didn’t know where to start. I already got a small fiberglass kit to get started from Home Depot. also need to go back there tomorrow night to find another sanding device. That tiny little drillbit is taking too long to go around the contours. And yes, I am looking forward to the fun challenge of reshaping everything … bob
