    My uncle got me This one back around 1970 I don’t know what it was off of but he was a mechanic for bacon fast freight and Brooklyn New York and all of the road trucks were Mack’s now I just serves as a nice shop ornament.. I thought I already posted this maybe I did somewhere but notice the serial numbers and the Mack on the collar

    I owned an 73 R western I really liked it except for the rubber band engine 237 they won’t pull your hat off in a windstorm even on flat ground strong headwind will bring you down to nothing … but definitely cool looking rig .. bob

    It’s hard to say from what I’ve heard and seen 66 to 90 pretty much all the same including the steel dashboard most of us don’t realize they are used the steel on fire apparatus wait after everything else went to plastic… bob

    Too many years of hard work my brother that’s all I got. Chrome shop in Reno did that 27 years ago and it’s been sitting outside the entire time with no signs of wear they did an amazing job…bob

    Well this is what mine looks like on my 66 but it’s off a 73 model they had to grind off a bunch of stuff in the front to get rid of the corrosion they still did a nice job route re-chroming it it said Mac originally on the caller and it has serial numbers on the chest I didn’t suck that one in close enough to notice and yes I was also wondering what that thing was doing out there unless it was somebody’s pride and joy and his girlfriend got pissed off at him for some reason and tossed it out there … bob

    Well after stepping all over rowdy‘s tread I thought I would start my own bitch fest so not only do I wide up with three sour grapes for offspring and paying child support for 32 years 15 years after the last one was 18 clever ex-wife was able to con 450 a month the past 15 years finally after three lawyers found a guy that figure it out how to get rid of it the youngest one is retarded and has autism lives in a home all his needs are taken care of by the state still this snatch has been pulling this for years and years finally is done no more free income for her goodbye and good riddance … Bob

    That’s excellent I put one together Wayback when I was a young teenager yes my pop and my 5 uncles were all in it of course they’re all gone now God love them all it was quite a sacrifice for everyone involved but my dad told me a long time ago that people treated them like royalty when they returned home at least in Chelsea Massachusetts they even had a board up in my Shawmutt bank with everybody’s names on it that served .. star next to everyone that didn’t make it back … Bob

    Thanks for the post that’s interesting and yes I would’ve loved to have it myself I already paid three for mine 27 years ago but I think that one was a lot better shape Plus you’re going to get more praise with an R model rather than the U model But the offset model Brings back a lot of good memories for me so I am happy with what I got …. Just goes to show everything has gone up that same truck what I have gone for around 4000 couple years ago… bob
