  3. that ingenious paul thanks,,,ok here goes nothing
  4. and yes working alone sometimes does not help at all and paul your right about big rig parts everything is so heavy,,,,i put that air starter in when i was only 39,,,but gotta better one pulled transmission and transfer case out of my 70 chevy pickup when i was around 20 myself with just a floor jack,,,,that was quite the trick
  5. Thanks for all your suggestions. My little 3/8 rod is not going to work for some reason. I was thinking the both holes went through the case and were open on the other side. No, they are not sub scratch that running around done going to eat them and run out there
  6. Ha ha, hell put that thing back in the closet about a month ago Mrs. mower was bugging me. Hey fat stuff either put that model together and get it off my kitchen table, but thanks for the peptalk.
  7. OK, I found the perfect specimen out of my workshop. Looks like a old carburetor linkage maybe a kick down lever 3/8 course thread about 8 inches long that should do it more progress in a while.
  8. And yes, I’ve adjusted the chain three different times trying to get the right angle. Getting really frustrated since my long awaited. Summer is going away. I’m struggling to think all I’m gonna get done this summer as the staring box and a rare axle seal and it’s gonna be too cold to do anything With a fiber glass
  9. Thanks I think I’ve talked myself into running a smaller bolt through one of the holes first I think I have a big chunk of 3/8 threaded rod. I have to go out take care of a couple of things. I’ll take a look and see if I have it handy, if not, I’ll stop and pick something up. Thanks for that Dave.
  10. I was also thinking of pushing a smaller bolt through everything and tightening it with a nut that way it would be somewhat lined up and at least Straight
  11. And yes those 2 heavy shims are not helping at all
  12. lol thanks for that I did find a chunk of steel right before I pulled the plug yesterday it looks like an old tire chain wrench that looks like it’s a perfect size to push through everything.. yeah I’m usually alone .. even if I had help someone would have to be laying underneath and wouldn’t be easy to see what I needed him to do
  13. If you’ve got steel mirror brackets it’s going to be a lot easier
  14. I did not know that … bob
  15. OK, I finished the box brought it over with the engine hoist couldn’t get any bolts started clearly this is a two man operation and there’s only me. I’ll go out there and give it another shot in the afternoon. Got a couple of errands this morning.
  16. Excellent thanks for that…. Hard to believe your truck is that old.
  17. that MR trash compactor would be more appealing to me,,,or atleast thats what it looks like
  18. i assumed it was some sort of bug exterminator,,,,for commercial spraying,,,household,,,or farms even big warehouses
  19. God love you for the thought Larry. I don’t even wanna make a comment on this except for many hours of searching for parts and as you mentioned shipping bills best of luck that’s a big big order you’ve got there.
  20. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I passed a brand new Volvo a while back and it looked exactly like the anthem
  21. And as far as I’m concerned, all Freight trucks are weird looking now.. bob
