  4. everybody is surprised to hear them for the first time,,,,i probably mentioned a while back we had a barbeque with a lotta people i was showing someone the DM and i fired it up,,,,i warned him about the loud noise was about to happen,and he still jumped back around 5 feet.lol.bob

  8. thanks i was thinkinking more of a little sealer to keep them in place while im trying to set them down,,,,ive heard storys on here lately about sealers pushing out from the inside and running down thru the oil pickup and doing damage
  9. yes very wierd,,,i think that kid had a lotta balls poking around as much as he did,,,thanks for that,,,when i was traveling to california in 1980 i spotted a wrecking yard somewhere in Arizona closed up was full of nothing but 50s cars,,,,i saw a guy walking a dog close by,,,i stopped and asked him if he knew anything about the place he said no he didnt except it had been closed for years,and never anyone around it,,bob

  11. I noticed that about the Apache, especially the rear wheels and tires. They’re not even dirty. Thought that was really weird. I had not thought of that … bob
  12. Was thinking of using some Indian head with the brush but the bottle might be too old I got it a long time ago along with other tube types everything I have it old hopefully start on cleaning the valve covers after gym this morning
  13. Last time I needed it was on a ford timing chain cover over 20 years ago
  14. lol I don’t remember much about rough riding but atleast the one I had was a total lemon didn’t notice too many other guys that were having the sour luck I was having one of the guys on here said a while back that for some reason Volvo sends all thier junk to North America

  16. Yeah, thanks Larry. That’s what I’m hoping. We had a lousy weather and I wasn’t feeling so good. I’ll be out there tomorrow trying to get the valve covers cleaned up and put them back on see what happens. I’m also going to tighten up that fuel leak. I had the same issue with a 180 naturally aspirated years ago. In a 62 F model The valve adjustment cured it. I was also poking around online and my fuel injectors are still available rebuilt 80 bucks apiece.

  20. even the steering wheel,peddles and brake valves show very little wear
  21. these days anything ready to go is very pricy no matter age
