  1. No,what you’re looking at what’s left of grinding and sanding out old repairs a mix of Bondo primer paint and other fiberglass repairs I’m getting rid of all of the older stuff and starting fresh. This will be a little bit tricky but I’ll get her done.
  2. well here we go again fellas making it look worse again,,,bob
  3. I’ve only seen one in my life and that was in LA. I used to see the truck all the time working in the area, but that was a long long time ago.
  4. Was just poking around looking for pewter pot and Brigham ice cream shop apparently they’re both gone. I was glad to see Land and sea was still open in my hometown don’t know if you’ve ever been there, but they’ve got the best fried clams in the world. They still carry a 4 1/2 star rating. They are very hard to get out here and find them. They’re usually dinky kind of tough and forget about the batter you’re not going to find that anywhere here,
  5. Ha ha I don’t think I’ve ever driven anything that beat up bob
  6. Can’t help you, but my transmission also makes some sort of weird clicking noise when it’s in neutral. Engine running I don’t know what it is, but my transmission is junk and I will be changing it anyway, but curious to see what you come up with.. bob
  7. We used to have a truck show here at the Alamo every year. I haven’t really heard about it in a long time but I used to fuel there every morning and I haven’t been in there in 18 years pretty much started working for Fedex and 2006 and they had their own fuel pumps, so I didn’t need to go into the Alamo anymore so I don’t know if they still have them or not They also had trucker appreciation day where we could all go in there with a class a license and get a free steak dinner. Don’t know if that is still going either.
  8. I’m starting to have that sock issue myself as well as trying to tie my shoes. I think it’s the truckers gut I’ve developed
  9. One of my first jobs was a trash truck. One of those I didn’t get to drive it. I was working the back throwing trash, leach compactor.
  10. Yes, I’ve mentioned a time or two. I sold the 62 Ford wagon, low mileage one owner family car around 1990. I am still kicking myself in the ass getting rid of it.
  11. Right? I tried to sell quick farms some parts I knew I had and I could not find them anywhere.
  12. Fortunately, it’s all labor not very expensive to fix just a lot of time which I have plenty of now. Ha ha I have been saving all kinds of containers different sizes shapes for backing.
  13. I would be pissing myself to have that now
  14. Excellent thanks … bob
  15. You know Larry I don’t think any of us are expecting shit to hang around so long when we buy this stuff Bob
  16. This thing has been hit and repaired numerous times
  17. No, fortunately it’s all fiberglass but it’s gonna take some creative redoing. I’ll be out there messing with it a little later.
  18. Yes, that’s the way everything works around here. It doesn’t have to be that thing. Household repairs are the same way.
  19. You know back in the day 6 bangers in a family car was quite common my first car was a 64 valiant with slant six 3 on the tree paid 20 bucks engine smoking back in those days. I didn’t know what I was doing. I tried to do a somewhat half ass rebuild wound up putting a rod through the block.
  20. Well didn’t do anything today but watch TV be running out of decent weather soon like to atleast get the left corner well on its way hen start on transmission swap or rear axle seals
  21. I’ve never seen that truck…. Gorgeous good luck I’m sure someone knows of it
  22. 396. Yes, I was also wondering what year those came out you just cleared that up.
  23. Both excellent choices. I also had a 65 impala convertible. I only bought it for the engine that I put in that 55 Belair. it was kind of a shame to scrap the rest of it because the body was in really good condition., chrome, grille but in 1975 it really wasn’t worth anything at all. I only paid 135 bucks for the whole car.
  24. Not sure if I mentioned truck needs a lot of work, but it’s mostly just swapping out parts I wanted to start the restoration off by redoing the interior…. cab and doors are in pretty good shape, but I decided to start with a nose because it was the worst part. Everything else will be a lot easier.. bob
