oh ya,,those things are godsent,,but ofcoarse not everyone owns them..i have a motorcycle jack,for harley,,was just wondering if i could use that,,,you know i bet i could...bob -
well i think the bottom line is once a guy gets used to a straight fuller ten,,they are like walking backwards,,thier kind of fun,but have to pay attention at all times,,soon as start daydreaming,or talkin on the cb,automaticly start grinding gears

the big shops generally use a big type special jack for tire,and hub removal,,but you can put a board slide it under tire and put abuncha grease on the board then raise the truck just so you can just barely turn the tire on the board then have a guy give you a hand pulling the whole thing straight off the spindle sliding it easy on the greased board,,,just a little helpful hint,works like a charm if you do it rite,,also put a little grease.on bottom of tire.good luck,bob,oh have that other guy bring beer,lol. -
oh ya,,,those 2 speed axles were also a nightmare,,half the time they wouldnt go in,,oh by the way welcome back bill,,do you get any extra time off?

dont think they lasted long,,dont hear much about them,seems they were around from like late 80,s to early ninty,s.bob

i drove one in a pete,i didnt like it,but it had the electric gas pedal shut off,that only gave you like 1700 rpm,s so if you were on a slight grade,and shifting up from a traffic light,buy the time you let the gas off the truck would slow down too fast and wouldnt click into hi,,it was a pain in the ass,,would have been ok with a little more throttle,,,who the hell designs this rediculous stuff..bob

you have to split every gear,,like a two stick,sept with a switch,like the mack was,or maybe still is,,bob

was lucky enough to get this guage out of a oakland ca.fire engine along with the tach,a steering wheel,and stop ,and throttle cables,,everthing is in excellant shape.bob

someone is selling a 70,in the classified,,im going nuts,,,hell he only wants like $1500 bucks for it,,cant even buy tires for that,twin axle,sleeper,geat deal,and it looks real straight,and rust free,,,man i wish i had the dough,,,guess thats everyones problem..bob
