  9. make sure you remove all the injectors and shoot a bunch of mystery oil into the cylinders and let it sit a week or so before you try to turn it over also remove inlet turbo oil line and shoot oil into turbo bearing,,,and make sure the turbo spins free nice going bud,,,,,bob
  10. yes, last I heard 673 were no longer available, but there were after markets, but I have not heard of anybody buying any of them except for gasket sets
  11. yes, that would certainly save you a lot of heartache engine parts are almost extinct. You gotta hope to find used anything just about… bob
  12. yeah, a lot of times you’re paying more for shipping. I was looking at a rebuild steering box in Florida 900 bucks and it was 900 to ship it more 1800 altogether luckily I found an alternative.

  21. One of my last trips, a grain truck passed me, taillight assembly, blown apart and gone as well as the mud flap and bracket trailer look pretty new also it was empty

  23. Yeah,matt I was thinking the same thing just like you put it seems to keeping that sheet metal on the original frame would be a lot easier although CH frame does sound kind of appealing … bob
  24. I understand what designed to keep from burning up your brake liningsand not just listening to the exhaust if that’s your thing go for it

Just had to add over Jake break use it seems for a while back in the 80s and 90s that was going on but a lot of us were owner ops with all these new kids driving fleet trucks I really don’t hear much of that anymore. I was never a Jake brake fan at all only when you need it coming down mountains.
