  1. The guy to talk to is Rick Plauman in Buffalo NY. He owns Great Lakes American Diesel and that's his specialty Caterpillar Engines all of them he takes newer C15 and C18's and takes all electronics off and installs Robert Bosch fuel injection systems. And they put out big horsepower. I talked to him at MATS in Lousiville KY last year I'm sure he'll have a booth there next week he usually does. His office number is 716-822-2298
  2. It looks like a good truck and a good price too even missing the tires and fifth wheel. I just got rid of my extra Superliner and you are too far for me otherwise it would be temping. I wouldn't mind seeing some more pics if you had any. Can't figure out why it's not selling at that price. Good luck and hopefully you find it a good home it looks too god to part out.

My Superliner is a Glider it was built at Oakville . So was my dad's and the guy that bought dad's truck came up and picked it up in an 87 Superliner which was also a glider and was built there too.
  4. Mine is registered as an 89 Glider but if you run the VIN at the dealer it's an 85 and it has the rectangular vents. You should be able to get those. The round ones are probably from a pre 85 Superliner 1 series.
  5. If the LTL is as good as it looks in the Shell Calendar it's worth the $40,000 a beautiful truck .
  6. NO WAY !!!!!!! A fella is not right to wanna drive something like that!
  7. Yeah I hope the guys happy with it. I feel we sold him a lot of truck for the money. Looking at some of the ones on Truck Paper I can't replace it for what I sold it for.
  8. A friend of mine bungied a propane tank and salomander in the passenger seat of his 77 international Coe years ago when he had heater trouble and was waiting for parts to get it fixed. He said it roasted him out of there and he had to keep a rag to wipe the windshield because it kept sweating so bad. He figures all the trucks meeting him on the highway probably wondered what the orange glow in the passenger side was at night.
  9. $10,000 for a nice solid rust free cab and 3/8" single frame E9 powered truck with 500,000KM only around 300,000 Miles.
  10. New owner is supposed to fix it up and use it as far as I know. The truck has dual stacks behind the bunk. We took the top pipes off before loading it just to be safe for height.
  11. On the weekend Peter Ramsey made to trip up from Missouri to the sub zero temps of The Banana Belt of Canada to pick up the 1990 RW 700. Sundays high temp was a bomby 10 degrees F so the Old V8 was a little reluctant to start, but after we plugged it in for an hour she started on 8 cylinders. Then the brakes wanted to hang up a bit from sitting and a leaking maxi not helping either we got it to roll free and with a little sand on the trailer deck and a few attempts because the truck having the Mack rears with automatic power divider instead of an air operated one. We had the old dog on the trailer and ready for the trip to her new home. And before long she was off and gone. Last night I looked out in the yard where the truck used to sit and I couldn't help but feel a bit sad to see dad's old truck finally gone which I thought for a long time would never happen. But Peter seems to be a nice guy and he had a neat looking Superliner too. So I'm sure he'll give dad's truck a good home and put it to good use. Best of luck with the old truck Peter and a safe ride back to Missouri.
  12. Yeah usually you end up replacing the pedal. White Metal and steel frozen together. Pretty tough to heat and free up without melting away or breaking .
  13. Sounds to me like you have an O-ring flipped in your shift cylinder on top of your transmission . Common problem with a 12 spd. A rebuild kit is pretty cheap for that it's just not in a nice spot to get at to do it.
  14. J C makes a good float trailer we have a tag along beaver tail float where I work it's 7 years old and holding up really well. Something to be said for Canadian Built trailers! I'd buy that for that price it would look great behind my Superliner, if I had the extra cash. I'd swap you my dads Superliner for it but it looks like the guys finally going to come through and come up and get it.
  15. That was actually impressive in the E 9's defence . Notice that the E9 500 took the Mp10 605 on an uphill grade and the605 didn't take that old E9 till they came out of the grade. Big thumbs up for the E9
  16. Here's a photo of my 92 MH 613 in late 2006 and here's what happened to it Mar. 1 2007 when a woman in a Chevy Corsica meeting me lost control in the rutted up snow and skidded into my path and flattening the car across the front of my truck killing the woman and here 2 small children. It was the worst day I've ever had at work. Not to mention the loss of my truck put me out of being an o/o. Thankfully no other vehicles were invoked the road was very busy and I'm very thankful I walked away from it all without a scratch but extremely tense for a couple days.
  17. Ouch!!!! That's not a good way to get a custom Peterbilt Cabover! Did the guy survive that wreck?
  18. You can put a small steering wheel in an R Model not a big deal. But Why would any one want a little steering wheel?
  19. Now that's cool! I love it! If I had some extra cash I know where I can get a few of them old swing fender Dodges I'd build me one of those.
  20. What an intelligent bunch of fellas!!!!! I had a feeling something like that was gonna happen right when I started watching! What a shame. Kinda funny they found a forklift to lift it off after if they'd had it just to lift the back up in the air in the first place and pushed it up and over while Evil Knievel inthe drivers seat steered it would have been less costly. That ramp is pretty steep for that truck without having a lot of plank for it.
  21. The paint on my MH was actually Maroon with the orange stripe. But in the light I took the photo in makes it look brown. It was an old Maksteel truck from Toronto it pulled a 6 axle trailer and super B trains when it was on with them. They had a bunch of them with V8 power they also had a bunch of Superliners and R Models too all that paint scheme. They looked good back in the day anyone around southern Ontario that sees those colours knows it's old Maksteel colours. Now they have Pete's no paint code. And yes the Mack MH was a well built Cabover air ride cab rode good and stayed tight and quiet.
  22. Found a pic of my 92 MH 613 with E9 450HP. Wish I still had her.
  23. ENDT 866 V8 375 Hp
  24. I got 2 clamps 2 amber lenses and 2 new sockets for mine on my Superliner last year from Iowa 80 the stuff was pretty reasonable.
  25. Iowa 80, or 4state trucks has them if they are Bores ones.
