  1. Here's a few of my photos from the show up at Clifford yesterday.
  2. Hey Ryan I found a guy up at the Clifford show with a whole wack of 865 866 V8 parts he wants to sell, I can hunt him down if and see if he'd sell you just what you want, if he has that in his archives he had a lot by the way he talked.
  3. Try Northwest Truck in Edmonton Alberta Harold had the last complete kit for an 866 V8 I seen. Harold there might be able to hook you up with one hole if that's all you need. I had alot of that stuff but I sold all my liners a few years ago I have a set of good pistons that were hardly run if you Need some liners are almost extinct. And very pricey.
  4. Yeah I've always used the 5/16 fine thread bolt and a pry bar to do them. They don't pull too hard.
  5. That was the fun part Ryan finding 8 good ones. I got 8 30% virgin Chinese casings for $100 a piece. 4 matching tread for one axle and 2x2 for the other but at least they all match up height wise could have bought a nice set of 8 virgin BF Goodrich's at 50% tread they wanted $200 a piece for those too rich for my blood. I figure if I'm going to spend that on used ones I might as well buy new ones. Good used virgin casings are tough to find anymore no one changes tore prematurely anymore.I got the visor fastened on Sunday looks good for the price.got 4 black Mack rubber mudflats with the dog in the oval in white ordered at Mack in London going to pick em up saturday on my way to truck show at Clifford ont. hope to get full fenders on this weekend. Getting closer to being done.
  6. No 4 girls from Winfall were just carrying them around in the woods.
  7. Nice find. Wouldn't mind a set of those myself.
  8. Sorry to hear about your friend. I hope he pulls through. That's just how easy things happen, you never know. Just a reminder of how lucky we are any day we get to go home from our job at the end of the day.
  9. Our 2 new Granites are heavy single frames. I think that's the way to go, especially if you are in a lot of salt and muddy conditions. A lot easier to keep clean . Double frames have a tendency to rust up between the rails, they're ok if you get them new and take care of them, maybe spray rust proofing oil between the frame rails.and keep them washed good.
  10. I've seen a few of the mid 80's 350's that were turned up break the webbing out of the block, but I 'be seen a lot stay together too. I guess there are a few variables there, probably a lot has to do with how it gets driven after you turn them up.
  11. I got 8 used drive tires this week. I got 7 of them mounted and on the truck this afternoon. The last one we ran out of either, so we'll get it this week. Took some pics of it out in the yard, I'm going to go with the 7 1/2" stainless visor we got earlier in the week, just need to fasten it on. the stubborn one waiting for either treatment. I had a spectator watching off in the distance my 3 yr old nephew came over watched his dad and I blow up a couple of stubborn tires. We told him to not attempt this trick at home. When he went to go home I got him to pose for a photo. couldn't resist taking a snapshot of a couple of good lookin sisters .
  12. Thanks that's what I was thinking,of doing or maybe pop rivets. The truck I took it off of had short screws.
  13. Not too bad of a job. I did mine a few yrs ago. Take off lower rad hose, coolant filter and anything else that might interfere with removing your water pump housing.. I think there is 4 or 5 bolts fastening housing to timing cover. The pump core just fits in timing cover and is held in place with the pump housing. Not a bad job. At all I changed mine when it was still in my MH Cabover, didn't take me no time at all. In a Superliner it should be a snap.
  14. Ok guys I got a question? The visor was fastened to the R model I took it off of with metal screws. I'm thinking of using the metal expansion plugs and bolts should I pull the headliner down to do it or are we safe to just drill it and put the plugs in?
  15. If you're in the market for a good E9 powered Superliner in way better shape than that one I have one that needs a good home 1990 RW700 E9 400hp 12spd Mack trans 38,000llb rears 11r22.5 rubber 3/8"single frame new 2 line wetline 500,000 km or 300,000mi we were down to $17,500 now down to $15,000 might do better if you are not a tire kicker. It's my dad's truck and he's sick with lung cancer and not doing so well right now and things are not looking up. Mom is on my case to sell it for her it needs to go now. A lot of truck for the money.
  16. For you Cat guys. We never said a 3406 Cat was a slouch.I've drove a few trucks with 400 and 425 Hp and I really liked them. I have to say that they are my second preference after an E9. The nice thing about them the're easy to get parts for and relatively cheap for today's standards. And you can get th worked on anywhere. A lot of guys are scared to tackle any major work on an E9 .
  17. I miss my MH. they were a nice Cabover.
