  1. That E9 even at 400hp will walk a 3406 cat or 12v71 Detroit unless they have alot of work done to them. Difference between night and day between the V8 and the 300 6cyl 5spd too.
  2. You are correct. It is a Mercury Equiptment Leasing, Lake Central Motor Systems truck from Lambeth,Ont. near London. I bought it from Hans Dietz when he closed up. I thought about painting it for a long time, but every time I show a photo to someone who went up the roads in Ontario in the 70's to late 90's they always say the same thing you did. That's why I'm going to leave it alone and just touch it up a bit. It's a conversation piece about Ontarip trucking history. I have this truck, my dad has a sister truck, my friend Bruce in Lasalle has another and Charlie in Chatham has the F model, and there was a blue superliner with the same stipes they had up in Idlerton that had a tree spade on it last I saw it. I wanted to have it ready for the Great Lakes Truck Club show in Clifford in a couple weeks, but I'm not going to get it there this year. I'm shooting for their show in Sparta which is near London in August , it would be nice to show it right down in the old area it came from.
  3. Picked this up today at the bone yard. Haven't put it on yet I just have it sitting in place, I just wanted a few opinions before I did put it on. I was going to put a drop visor on but I got this one real cheap so If I don't use it I'm not out much if I don't use it.
  4. How about R or Superliner oil pressure gauge.?
  5. I'd say the shift cylinders on top need an o- ring kit put in . Not an expensive fix just not handy to get at .
  6. Yup 29 for the 9th time LOL !
  7. Thanks for the B Day wishes guys.
  8. I been trying to get a good pic of this CL I see in my travels most days. We're always moving when I spot him and I'm not fast enough. Pretty sure it's E9 powered has badge on hood I'll keep trying might catch up when we are both stopped someday.

  9. I had a MH613 E9 450 till a woman in a $35 car took it head on and killed herself and her two small children. What a shame for the kids and my truck just because she was driving beyond her driving ability in winter weather. Makes me sick thinking about it.
  10. I'm glad to see you're keeping her Ryan. Have You considered a portable coverall shelter? I put one up 3 yrs ago for a shop for working on and housing my truck. A 20'w x 30'l x 16' h with a 12'x 12' door opening ran me around $3000 with all the lumber for the bottom framing and door openings, and you can finish it just like a real building as you go. Some areas do not need permits or put them on your property taxes because they're considered portable. I wish I put one up along time ago. The best $3000 I ever spent. I used to work on my stuff in the driveway too.
  11. Damm that's a good idea, looks great. Good work!
  12. If one of the plungers was sucking oil sounds like the pump guy is at fault. Hope he makes it right with you. It really sucks when shit like that happens. Hope you get it figured out.
  13. That's cool to see old iron retrofitted with newer driveline and still out there working.
  14. LOL!!! How true. Welcome Brad. Where are you from in Canada?
  15. Vlad you are definitely a stickler to detail, the only way to be, very nice job.
