  1. Nice pics. Beautiful country up there at your end of it alot nicer than down here in the as$%#le of Canada where I live. We have'nt had snow down here for a month now just alot of rain this month. If you had hitch hackers in your pics they would probably be able to cut glass it still looks cold up there. I got a few friends moved out to Alberta I'm going to have to take a road trip out there someday.
  2. That's the first I heard about his passing. I was wondering why the Detroit station played the Corvette song and a couple others today. You don't hear his music on the radio too often anymore.
  3. Took these today when I was following him just outside Windsor.
  4. That's a lot of truck for a dump truck. Very nice.
  5. I have only seen 2 of those UPS MH's escape the wrecking yard. I used to see one a guy had around Detroit working back when I was running my 92 E9 MH, and the Mack dealer in London Ont. had one on the lot not long after that, but that's about 7 years ago. I went treasure hunting last fall at Goody's in Toledo Oh last fall and they had half a dozen CH's in the bone row. But yes it would be cool to get your hands on an old UPS MH though. I wish I would have had some cash when the one was in London, I would have inquired about it.
  6. If she's modeling with an F model She's definitely old enough to be my mom. But I have to agree with you on that one she looks good in those white pants. I bet she don't look like that now though. LOL.
  7. I want to put LEDs on my cab lights. Almost bout some down at MATS last month but I wasn't 100% sure if they were the right size and I didn't measure stock ones before I went. Had them for $25 ea. What did you do with the short light in the center? Can you buy one in LED or just transplant the light into a stock holder?
  8. Steering wheel holder had no clue what was going on. I like that one. I would say that truck had a loose nut behind the steering wheel. LOL.
  9. How true. My bosses boy used to over grease the throw out bearing all the time when he was first greasing the trucks, got the clutch brakes full of grease, we had to was them up with brake clean. we weren't long clueing him in on that.
  10. What a friggin bunch of retards!!!!!! all some one had to do it put the damm thing up in high gear and dump the clutch. One of the only times it would be acceptable to jam it in gear if you have to. Had to do it myself before. My buddy has a 444 Cummins and it tried to run away when it blew the turbo a couple years ago. He made the mistake of kicking it out of gear when the turbo blew, he said he wasn't long jamming it into gear. Scares the $#%t out of you when that happens, but I'd rather tow it to the shop to put a rbo on it then tow it to the scrap yard.
  11. Taking off without the clutch, sounds like it could get messy. If you ever get that one figured out let me know. I see guys all the time that are too lazy to push the clutch all the way in to engauge the clutch brake, the noises you get from that makes it bad enough.
  12. Yup reduce the size of the product , but they don't reduce the price.
  13. I only use the clutch to start out and stop. I never learned to shift with the clutch. Tried an few times but just couldn't do it without clashing gears, I guess it's just what ever a guys preference is.
  14. The clearance lights on the mirrors is a Canadian thing Eh ! We used to take them off our trucks that we ran in the US. Just a way of trying to blend in with American trucks and save hassles with Dot and local police enforcement when we ran in the US.
  15. Earl Paddock He runs a similar paint scheme as my Superliner has. Yes he has some sharp looking iron.
  16. www.SemiCrazyTruckMovies.com He always has an ad in Old Time Trucks He's got most of those old movies and shows on DVD.
  17. That guy's from up in my area, He brokers for Robinson Transport in Harrow. He's a Great Lakes Truck Club Member, I seen him at a couple of the club events last year.
  18. No I didn't I didn't want to nose around it too much. I do have the contact # for the guy that owns it. He used to be a Mack dealer I talked to him a few years back about other trucks he had. Some say he's hard to buy from. A 75 would be better that's my birth year. It's been there for a good 15 yrs now I'll have to try and hunt him up some day.
  19. Took some pics of this in my travels this afternoon. I think it's a 77 has a 1693 Caterpillar don' t know if it can be bought but I sure would like to have it for my next project.
  20. Went for a trip down to where Waylon Jennings B77 is under a full restoration. I only saw the sleeper off it he was working on this morning. Truck is torn down in alot of pieces right now, I learned a bit of history on the truck. Pretty cool. She's in good hands they do excellent work there, It'll be better than it was new. Charlie has an ad posted in the parts wanted topic, he's looking for some rubbers for the brake pedal if any of you guys can help him out.
  21. I prefer to see them stay in North America anyway at least the good trucks , if they are all rotten then let them go to Africa and places like that. I just don't like seeing good trucks go there and get beat to sh!!! My Dad had a 94 CL 613 with E9 500 he bought new. He got the brain fart to quit trucking when the truck was 3 yrs old. He sold it to a Mack dealer near Toronto and the salesman that came and picked it up told us he had a buyer in Buffalo NY and a bigger money buyer also wanting it to send to Africa wanting it mainly because it had big 365/65/22.5 steer tires witch they intended on filling with dope and smuggling it overseas. I don't know where it went but I got a bad feeling it went for a boat ride. I know my old man kicked himself ever since for selling that truck.
  22. Nice save Jeff. Is it a V8 truck? Are you planning to restore to original?
  23. I been figuring on covering the whole frame on mine too. Going to have my local sheet metal shop fab them for me I need a 7' piece from cab to fifth wheel too. Haven't decided on Diamond plate aluminum on mirror finish stainless. Thinking of recessing it down between frame rails and mounting a Merritt frame box in it. Price wise I can fab it up cheaper than buying it and price between stainless and aluminum is pretty much the same.
  24. I was thinking of going with round horns on my superliner. Hadley makes round ones now that fit the same holes in the roof as the square Hadley horns where Grover bolt pattern is different.
