BAD DOG replied to jackb61sx's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Took mine up to the show at St Thomas Ont. a couple weeks ago. Took some pics at a rest area along the North shore of Lake Erie. -
Other dog, did you go to Ken Miller or Mcjunkin in Indiana PA?

Joe Ditchkus , that guy didn't happen to tell you any history about that B61. I never talked to the guy but a bunch of guys from my hometown were there with me and we were admiring it. We were wondering if it was a former Spinks Sand & Gravel truck from Leamington. Because that was their paint colours. Pea green with black fenders. But none of us could say or remember if they ever had any B61 Macks. So we would like to hunt the guy down sometime just to ask. -

Yes Alex I didn't get many pics either. I barely got time to look at anything. Too busy visiting . It's such a social gathering . -
Took my Superliner to the show up in Clifford, Ontario . She ran great rides and drives better than a new one. Got lots of attention everywhere we went turned heads in every town we passed through and lots of compliments on it at the show. They figure they had around 300 trucks there yesterday better part of them were 20 years or older, excellent turnout. I had a great time yesterday. I'll post pics after.

stopped by the license bureau after work this afternoon to see about getting a trip permit to go to the show in Clifford this coming long weekend, and I got a different girl at the counter and she told me I should just get a plate instead and I told her the other lady a few weeks back said I needed a CVOR to get the plate. This girl today said no as long as I'm not using it for commercial use being its registered in my personal name. So I got a plate and a 10 day sticker so I figured I should take the truck for a good run and get it cleaned out good so I can emission test it before the 10 day is up so I can get my sticker. So I had her out for a good tour tonight. Took it up town and she got a ton of heads turning. Forgot how much fun a Superliner with an E9 under the hood was to drive. It weighs right up there with having sex. It's been the better part of 10 years since the truck has been in hiding. Only 2 weeks till showtime in Clifford I'm really looking forward to it.

That is an 866 not an E9. It is pre 85 because it's a Superliner 1 . I think there was a small # of very early Superliners that had 866s from the factory, I pretty sure I have a brochure that has 866 as an option for power. Superliners went into production about the same time Mack switched from the 866 to E9 so anything is possible. I'm going to try and find that brochure. It's got me wondering.

Wow you 're very lucky to still be around. You're not the first guy we've Heard of having a mishap with old split rimsBest of luck for a speedy recovery. -
I have used CarQuest filters for year I've had good luck with them, and they were made by Wix until I bought filters for the Mack this spring and I see that Baldwin is making them for CarQuest now. I never really used Baldwin filters much before but a lot of guys have and I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about them. They are made in the USA and so are Wix filters. I would stay away from Fram filters they are made elsewhere and I've seen a lot of them spring leaks.

Here's my 2002 FXD Superglide the day I picked her up brand new on May 13 2002 and here it is now. I don't get time to ride much anymore but I still keep it around. Not much has change with me or the bike we're just a little older.
