  5. Well my Uncle flew in from Indiana with his family Saturday morning around 8am. Their flight got cancelled on friday due to "High Traffic" over newark... They got to my house around 945 had a bite to eat and headed on our Journey. We left my house around 11 O'Clock and made it to Vermont around 4 with no problems at all. Didn't pass or see one smokey bear the whole way! We got to Vermont with a slight disappointment. I was assured that my car was going to be covered for the time it was being placed outside due to the very nasty thunderstorms we got wednesday and thursday! I arrived on scene with nothing covering my car at all. Granted its just the shell, i still have all the electrical wires in the car along with the seats dash and steering column in the car. Once again you can not count on my fathers side of the family for SHIT! With that out of the way we started loading the car on the trailer and of course there is a issue. The car is stuck right smack dap in the middle. Its hung up on the mufflers. My uncle beats the muffler as i yank on the car with the winch to get it on the trailer! Man what a project that was. Finally after about an hour the car is on the trailer!!!! We are both sweating bullets and just want to get the hell out of here! I tie the car down with the new straps i got and I'm amazed! That was the best $150 bucks I've spent! I had the car tied down in 3 minutes!!! No hassle! Finally we get back on the road at 8. We stop at "The Loft" In lake george, NY for a quick bite to eat! Best burger I've had! If your ever going through lake george please stop at this place! Cheap and excellent food. Once we are back on the road its Bear city! Everywhere you look speed trap after speed trap! Its crazy. The whole way home my hair was standing straight up on my neck. Around 1am we stop at a truck stop on I87 grab a quick coffee and a piss break and we hit the road again! It was actually funny. Ive never seen a truck stop that had so many SUVs pulling campers sleeping in the truck parking spots overnight! Around 230 we make it back to my house. No hassle at all! Truck ran great, trailer pulled awesome! Not one issue besides loading! I had a blast my uncle had a blast and thats all that matters! And i got my car back so thats a plus lol. Enjoy the photos!!! About to Depart- Saying bye- Guess Albany toll booth hasn't changed much- Continued- Continued- Chatter on the CB- Bridge- Some asshole hauling a ladder- Off at our Exit- Stop for some soda and piss break- Rollin along- Signs for Winter mountains already! Scenery- Give it a few years and you would be able to see the building on the left- Crusin- High security prison-

  9. A town called Wells Vermont. About 15-20 min from Rutland, and about 30 min from Manchester. Tom
  10. Well ive made up my mind. Im going to be taking the International. Due to i have my uncle and cousin coming. It would be a very uncomfortable ride to Vermont with no ac and only a bench seat since the dump truck only sits 3! Ill take a few pics along the way as this is my "first" long haul with the truck and trailer. If anyone needs anything brought back to jersey and its along my way i dont mind picking it up and bringing it back to my house if that helps any of you out... Wish my luck as i am leaving Saturday the 21st. Tom

I must say, out of all the forums I've been on ranging from trans am forums, to pick up truck forums, VTC forums... This one takes the cake. With the great group of people, information, ( . ) ( . ) pics. its just awesome. you guys are great! Tom
  15. Damnit Rob, Why can't i live by you'd. You could go get it for me lol Tom
  16. Tis true. I do not have my CDL. I would feel more comfortable with the international since its a lot bigger and has A/C dump truck does not and its a 5 hours ride 1 way Even if i put a sticker on that says "Not For Hire" you still think they'd give me shit if i got stopped? Granted the International truck has no commercial plates and the trailer doesn't either.
  17. Heller fellers, I have an issue. When my parents divorced 3 years ago i had to give up garage space so my mom can pull her car into the garage at night cause her car got vandalized. A few months ago the mack got vandalized and the International. But thats not the issue. When i gave her part of the garage i had to move my project car (1978 Trans am) to my dads parents barn in vermont for storage. I used my pickup truck at the time to move it but it has since been sold so i could purchase the International. Well my dads side of the family has been sending me numerous letters saying it has to be out ASAP! Or it will be removed by us and disposed... I have not had any contact with them pretty much since my parents got divorced cause they are all raging FUCKING lunatics. pardon my french but its true. So i only have the International and gooseneck to go get the car or my 1996 ford mason dump that has a top speed of 60 mph on the highway and about 45-50 mph with the trailer... What should i take? Should i risk it and take the nat? Or have it take 1.5 years and be safe by taking the dump? If i take the nat I'm going to put a "Not for Hire" sign on the side of the truck... Please help me out. Tom
