  1. What about the Tatras.? Those trucks look like beasts. I think they use the tatras also in those races
  2. I think we still have a few in S.Fl but been a while since I have seen one
  3. Yeah but atleast one thing. they are over built for the area and almost bullet proof. Well alot more idiot proof.
  4. Ok was just curious. Thought you might try to load them all at one time that was why I was asking
  5. A group of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders, accompanied by two female teachers, went on a field trip to the local racetrack, (Churchill Downs) to learn about thoroughbred horses and the supporting industry (bourbon), but mostly to see the horses. When it was time to take the children to the bathroom, it was decided that the girls would go with one teacher and the boys would go with the other. The teacher assigned to the boys was waiting outside the men's room when one of the boys came out and told her that none of them could reach the urinal. Having no choice, she went inside, helped the boys with their pants, and began hoisting the little boys up one by one, holding on to their 'wee-wees' to direct the flow away from their clothes . As she lifted one, she couldn't help but notice that he was unusually well endowed. Trying not to show that she was staring the teacher said, 'You must be in the 5th grade.' 'No, ma'am', he replied. 'I'm riding Silver Arrow in the seventh race, but I appreciate your help.'
  6. Dumb question but how many are you going to try to move at 1 time?
  7. Hell in Fl On a tri we can get 21 to 23 tons. depending on your light weight
  8. I think if you don't want to shift you need to get an automatic. the 355/380 I drove in a ch was great in a tractor with the single stick 6 was alot better then the 5 speed.
  9. Jay there is an R north of Denver on 25 on the right side. Think it is just south of the POE. Not a sleeper but good looking none the less
  10. Welcome to the Jungle. Were sitting down here in Houston well my home away from home
  11. Or take his advice. Which is more realistic
  12. Welcome to the jungle. You got great skill that looked real
  13. That shift pattern would take me a while to get use to if ever
  14. Got Blizzard warnings in Co. Sitting here in Lamar and watching the clouds. Should have rain here in the next hour or so and Snow around 2200 If I am still here I will be screwed being oversize
  15. And thats the downside. people sitting and running just to cover fuel. Theres no right or wrong. I've done it when I was leased elsewhere and got so far behind the 8 ball was gonna sell everything. Came here and been good ever since but had they of wanted any upfront escrow I would of been screwed I was that broke. Couldn't go any more backwards
  16. Since it is just a hobby I would go higher geard. mid to Lower 3's if your not pulling anything. You'd get lower Rpm's, maybe better mileage If your not lugging it and still have enough power to get on it and get out of the way bobtail
  17. Just like everything else. If you sit and tell the coal company to piss off on the rate. Somebody might haul it. But when trucks get few and far between the rate goes up. In theory it works. I've sat for a week or to looking for a load because I wouldn't haul for pennies
  18. I know I'll probably get ribbed. but here it goes. Friday afternoon I finally got a load and was letting the truck warm up getting ready to go. pushed the clutch in and It made the damndest sound. Almost a grind, whine, humm all put into one. Friday night when we parked came back from eating and this thing was making all kinds of racket. Shifter never budged but the clutch pedal everytime the noise came around would really vibrate. Shut it down till it got to cold and fired back up. Made alot of racket then quited down. Fast forward to yesterday. Loaded and went to take off and the clutch grabbed alittle sooner and faster then norm. parked lastnight and took off this morning and the Clutch pedal was considerably down. Also seemed to loose about an inch or 2 of clutch travel. Meaning it got closer to the floor. Had it adjusted tonight and there at 1 time was 2 or 3 bolts holding a plate over the adjustment screw. Supposedly this is no longer there as the guy just adjusted it with out taking anythign off. Took the inspection plate off and some metal came out which isn't sounding good. Where can I get the parts to lock the adjustment screw inplace long enough to get the truck to south fl? Any good shops around that can do this and not take me for a ride? In Lamar,Co now and heading to Houston. Thanks. Also this is a 98 Pete. I don't care who works on it as long as it gets done right
  19. How heavy and what was the outside temp? When it is cold out it takes my trans a long time to warm up unless I am heavy. Even then it takes a little while. Does it have a dash mount Power Divider. Almost sounds like the rears are locked. That makes shifting a bitch if nothing is wrong with the trans
