  1. Whats the best bumper sticker you have seen. Although I didn't get a pick of it yesterday I will definatley remember this one "GIVE ME THE FINGER LIKE YOU MEAN IT" I got a good chuckle out of it.
  2. Idk if it is all V8's or mainly Cats but you had to keep them wound up as they didn't seem to have the lowend like an inline. But get them going and it was all over
  3. looks like it use to be a tractor with the airlines still plumbed. But anything can be taken off to be made into a tractor
  4. Idk I ran a 425 Mechanical Cat and that thing was a beast. With a 9 speed it had great low end and would flat run. It ate up all the Cummins, and detroits around never put it up against a Mack.
  5. I would maybe go up to a 4.17. with the right trans you'll have good low end and that thing will run like a raped ape. There use to b an 84 Superliner for sale in Orlando,Fl area had extra doors. Price kept coming up out of my range. Had a 350 Mack and 13dbl over. Never looked at it. Reason I was looking was gonna start teaming with the Fiance and I couldn't do it in my current set up. Landstar wouldn't let us because I had to many axles. had to pull a flat or step and Wanted that or a Cabover.
  6. something else to keep in mind. unless you are a true independant. If you lease on somewhere age is a prob. my 98 was to old for alot of places. Food for thought
  7. this might get me band lol but I like the 3406. I don't care what people tell you you can get good mileage out of them. Deadheading from Dallas to Baltimore at 65 to 70 was 7.4 mpg.this is also with 4.11's. you really do not want to know my loaded mileage right now it is in the basement. best I've gotten loaded is 3.5. Mind you I am heavy haul. and have a 379. Idk much about Macks but I know that it is all how you drive it. E-9 is a monster and will drag anything you put behind it. What are you planning to haul. if your going to pull a bucket then get the Mack. Lowboy local, Mack. But if your gonna run the state side to side top to bottom. I like the W-9 more for comfort or get an Air ride Mack. I like My Pete but would of liked to have gotten a Mack. if you go the Cat route stay away from anything late 03 to well anything after that. my 98 has the power I want. and no pun intended will walk the dog.
  8. I never thought about it but I do agree with Gearhead grrl on this. I know the B will get it rolling. no problem. that weight plus whatever motor you have in there 45mph on the flat and forget uphill you'll be dropping 2 or 3 gears at a time. I would have to say you'd need more motor and go with that. I can understand the wanting to work it a few days aweek. I don't think you'd get many loads but hey I could be wrong. You'd walk all those big horses out there and leave them sitting on the hill. What you might want to look into. Go to a job where they have trailers sitting. Not junk ones and contract out to spot them onsite. Now you work it but not get alot of miles and no need for a big horse. usually anyplace that does parking garages have 50 trailers sitting there and 1 or 2 guys spotting. Also sometimes those jobs suck. When I was at Commercial carriers doing the parking garage for the big mall up there on okechobee I think it is been a long time. We where burying the trucks. Now they run all Macks. Had mack rears with a single stick 6 speed. Get in that sand and sink to the axles and the trailers were 75' long
  9. put gin poles on they'd get right on you
  10. that rear trailer looks halfway decent the front looks like it needs alittle work. All in all looks like it would be a decent buy
  11. yeah I'd talk to him first. Probably around 240 would be good.I know coming out of 265" trucks to mine wow turning has a wole new meaning. Drove a 325" wb truck that I swear turned better then this. Definatley rode good
  12. Hell stretch him out to 300" Wb. chop the top, lower the suspension. There you go. I think he would keel over. Idk if he is around 240" or so probably set up around 260 to 270" That will help the ride out but he'll hate turning
  13. That Il scale is easy enough to get around if you don't mind running thru a few towns
  14. They do this all the time in Miami. Gar-p makes them and a few others. they are scary
  15. Seen them out there at the mines by you Randy and they are big bastards
  16. yeah that looks like a Gravity style bed. Nothing easy about being easy on something that you don't want slamming down either side
  17. Saw part of it lastnight but it was late when we checked in to the motel. fell asleep. was interesting the little bit i saw

I will say this that is a sharp looking ride. I'll be loading in Baltimore probably tuesday heading for Albuquerque
  19. I know the feeling on rough weeks. Go and load monday in Galveston. go to the window and told them picking up. was told nothing is realeased. Get on the phone and finally 2 hours later calls me to the window and looks at my paper work and starts cussing. I was 1 trailer off. Had the prick looked at my paperwork in the first place he would of discovered that and I could of loaded. then it starts raining. friggen poured. then lightening. Finally get the machine running and figure out how to move it won't fit on the trailer. Try as I might can't get anything to work right.Get the conveyor to move and was able to hook back up to the trailer. Get rolling now looking like a wet rat, and pissed as a wet cat. Go get the woman from the truckstop as she can't go into the port. she goes to print the permit and screws up a prong on the printer. we hit the first motel and drop the trailer to go buy a new printer. only highlight of that day was watching Alabama whip the shit out of LS who. get to ok tueday and am supposed to load in Dallas wednesday morning. well unload wednesday and haul ass to dallas. get there get loaded and look the machine grew. supposed to be 12 wide and now 15 wide. Permits no good. run the route on the comp and looking Tx decided to take me thru residential. Escort next day we run part of the route and I told him i got other plans. No comment on that. leave out on thursday and get to the job via a few extra detours and it goes downhill from there. throw the rears in low and get on the job. Trailer is leaning and I feel like I am going to go over. can't fit between the tracks. they finally move them enough and get in between and get unchained. crane operator raises the crane and the mechanic is guiding me out. get part of the trailer out and looking all is good. I look in the right mirror and the operator is on the ground and I have no clue where he came from. I am still easing up and look back and stopped. some how idk what happened but he lost track of my stinger axle and I got his foot, ankle and I think but no positive part of his leg. I do not know if it was broke or not but I was totally rattled as this has never happened to me before. ended up shutting the job down for a few hours. Recue was out there and carted him off. Was not a good day.

Hey Bigen where you on 40 west bound today in Ar. thought I saw you about 20 or so miles west of West Memphis about 1222 or so. I was rolling east.
  21. Good looking dog. Best dog we ever had was shepards. Well and my critter also
  22. Trans looks like a super 10. That thing definatley has issuses. Why someone would buy that with such light rears and make a dump out of it is beyond me.
