Like hell it works everytime. I tried it 4 times never got the damn bead to seat. tried it today again on a flat. finally ran it till i got to a tire shop and found the valvestem was a tad loose and it had a small hole in the tire. I have yet to do the starting fluid and have it work on a lowboy. I usually end up singeing my arm hair or in the case today, got my fiances hair. She was not amused.

Here is an option. You can get it,Run it and when the transmission pukes already have a trans lined up or get a 13speed or a different Mack trans to put in there.

This sounds like a better truck then the other. as stated the 10 speed isn't a great trans for dumps would like to see a 8ll or any number of mack Tranmissions. But they will do the job

I've seen some other makes do stuff right with a Mack when set up right. That 400 and a 15 speed sounds like a tractor converted. if so I'd stay away.You'll have problems with it if so. alot of problems. Mainly running gear. Ran a 80 something with a 270 cat,8LL, and 5.29's wasn't the fastest thing out there but it did the deal and would go anywhere you pointed the nose.

I think for a dump the rears are to light. But if your not doing job sites and only going to mixer companies they will work. But you start sinking and put the power to it your gonna tear an axle up fast

My problem is I had a CAC leak and had about 10 pounds lower boost. around 28 to 30 psi. my egt's climbed.Now I got a new CAC but still seem alittle low on boost and my egt's are still higher then normal if I really start working the motor. HAd to keep backling out of it to stay below 900 degrees. yesterday continued on my bounce from Houston to Decatur,Il and still have around 1/4 tank or so Also didn't idle thursday night. Was running between 58 to 60. then kicked up to about 65 which has me turning around 1500 rpms. Just trying to keep the boost low. Idk other then to change hoses on the turbo and i have found 2 times I have had to retorque the clamps on the turbo hoses atleast 1/2 turn

Idk I have been in contact with the herd rep by my house and so far all I need to do is cough up the money to order it. but looking at close to 4k. still better then a hood and anything else that may get damaged in a strike

Could be a Charge air Cooler also. But this past 2 months my Mileage has gone to hell in a hand basket. New Cac,Filters,air and fuel,checked all tires. Adjusted my driving habits. Starting to think either the new CAC has a damn leak or this winter blend crap the refineries are putting out has dropped my loaded mileage by 200 miles or more a tank
