  7. Yeah it definatley wasn't us. Still home. got the truck back and now the trailer. But think I got another truck problem. Seems my boost isn't quite up to norm. But bobtail and even with the trailer it flat gets up and runs. Idk might just be me. Might be heading up to Pa and load something for Wednesday
  8. Yeah you got that right. All I need is one of the locks not to engage.
  9. Hmm pretty sure mine is a Fontaine. ............................ Just looked and sure as hell. No wonder the moron that had the 5th wheel when I was getting an inframe couldn't get parts. he had no idea what it was. and a phone call would of given him the vin to the truck to get parts
  10. They are about halfway up the bumper. It was 2 pieces of steel that where in the weeds. now this was up past my fenders..Atleast it was a hose that was a quick fix and not a 1000+ dollar steer tire or an 8month old motor
  11. If it is like my 5th wheel. towards the back of the plate should be an allen screw. Get a kingpin and lock it in. then turn the screw. It should be on the right side
  12. Went to the hydraulic shop today. Had a problem and wasn't sure if I had a cylinder bypassing on the stinger for my trailer. Well they is a vacant lot across and this place is tight. Last time I was there they had just cut the trees down and now it had grown over. no biggy I have driven on this property a few times. Today was different. I couldn't get straight enough and pulled way up in the shrubbery. I hear pop, pop, pop. Stop and back up PA POWWWWWWW!!!!!!. Oh sh!t just ripped my bumper off is going though my mind. I get back far enough and I see the grass is wet. I got a ton of things going my mind right now, I hurry and get back in the property I am trying to get into and I still got to pull up 3 times to get over enough to leave a pathway. Turn the fan on and really hustling to get this thing parked before I cook a 8 month old motor. Get parked and Coolant is just pouring out. Still haven't looked under it yet so still thinking the worst. Let it cool down after helping the guy on the trailer and look under it. The new power steering cooler I put on was pushed up but no leaks. Pulled the protective cage out of the fins. Only thing I found was I ripped a Heater hose off the lower rad hose/pipe. Cut the end off, tightened the piss out of it. Sent Ann on a Coolant mission and got 2 cases of coolant. Bumper was still intact not even a scratch. Oil pan looks like something grazed it like a twig or something. it had a clean spot. Moral of the story is this I knew I should of walked out there and looked,You can bet your backside I will when I go back there. What I had hit and run over was the remains of a sign that was blocking a meter that I took out also. Low enough to be hidden by the grass and tall enough to smack the bumper
  13. Each application is different
  14. Welcome to the jungle. First thank you for your service. My dad was also a SeaBee, he was in Vietnam I think towards the early 70's not sure.
  15. I'm Betting that Binder is a set back axle. I drove one many moons ago and it had a turning radius like my longwheel base Pete. forgot the model but it was horrid.Idk the Wheelbase on it never measured it but I bet it was around the same as you have. had some frame well alot of frame available
  16. I hated pushing muck on the 6 I ran when it was dry. You had to back up everywhere or move at a low Idle to keep the dust down. Would wear a shirt over my face ans would look like a coon when I was done from all the dust on me
  17. I agree with rowdy on that. but differ on the axle spot. a set back will turn better and give you more frame behind the cab if you put a 265" wb setback and set forward axle side by side the set back is longer and has more frame space. Turning hell you get use to having a longer truck. What kind of application are you trying to do that you need a 216" wb? that sees awfully short even with a micro sleeper.
  18. Your thinking bridge for legal. I can go between 20k per axle in some states or like Fl 25k on a single so my steer and stinger I can go 25k. 66k trips and 50 tandems. other states are different. in Pa I can permit up to 27k per axle but only 18 on the steer. so I think it is 200k on 8 axles gross weight. Over weight trucks and legal stuff got a whole different weight catergory for the axles. and Sc will put the tag on a separate scale to make sure your not over 20k per axle or 40 in the tandem grouping. It gets interesting.
  19. See I run 100 Psi down to 90. Only time I lessen it is if I am light and just need it down for permit problems. If I have 20k on the steer lifting it is useless as I can't get the axle all the way off the ground. I just leave it down. Also Some states require the controls on the outside so I have it set up for both. But if I am on the outside valve I can't raise it from the inside. Also my axle is only a 17k axle I probably run 18k or better in it last few ties I have weighed it by it self. I might put a 25k axle under it and take the other one off.
  20. I'll have to look at mine again to see if it is just inside or inner and outter
  21. You got pics? mine wear odd on my pusher always has
  22. We had a 235 at 1 time. It is a hell of alot more machine then you'll ever need. What I liked about it was it had the ass to back it up. unlike these newer machines. We had a 3.5 yard bucket on ours. Only problem we had was if you curled to far you would bend the cylinder. If I remember right. Haven't seen that machine since I was 6 years old. Also ran one with a 966 bucket on it. Was a great sloping machine and loading muck. Couldn't do much else. Also had to watch going cross track and extending out to far. I have never run anything bigger and the newer stuff always feels light on the ass end. Think they need 3k more counter weight
  23. I thought I got banned yesterday when I got account suspended. Glad it was just a server problem.
  24. That is to cool. Good looking pic
