  1. Welcome to the Jungle
  2. Yeah the first night when we came into Tx was rough. tryingto sleep in the truck. Got unloaded and headed to Ingleside,Tx and got a room in Bay city. Loaded and dropped the trailer in Ingleside and bobtailed to Corpus, Ran to Houston the next morning and back down to Ingleside and reloaded. Found another room in Ingleside this time and that A/C was cold enough to hang swinging meat. I swear it was part Thermo king.had it turned down to low and halfway warm and still froze. Wa holed up in a Super 8 in Baytown this weekend and moved over to the Loves hooked up to idleaire. We are surviving to say the least during the day. Been tryingto shut the truck down for periods of time when loading or unloading to get the heat down. Was great in Ingleside had about a 20 mph sea breeze blowing from our back with the doors open it blew right thru and made it liveable.Should be home this week and get it all fixed. We shall return thru there again.
  3. They stay with the driver for 3 years and are mulitplied by 3,then the second year by 2 then on the 3rd year it drops to base point or points. they stay with the company for 2 years
  4. New crap they came out with. different score system. get enough points and for get driving. http://www.csa2010.com/
  5. Yeah most of those days are in the past. These states are hurting for money and csa2010 is going to put a stop to alot of that. just not worth sneaking stuff anymore. the short term money you save for a 15 to 30 dollar over width only permit. doesn't justify it. Then again when I wasn't footing the bill I could care less. now 1" or 8' over gets a permit.Just remember this. if something happens and dot is called out if they measure you. the fine is going to be the least of your worries.
  6. Thats true might as well leave the flags off. They see that they are going to look harder. and hell like most heavy haulers say boot legging is only a crime if you get caught
  7. No Comment. other then it gets expensive getting caught.

  9. Actually it isn't that bad.we do clean it once a month or so. Joys of putting after market in there. e have a regular apartment fridge. Got about everything out now. just needa few more things out and will just put waters in there. for the time being
  10. Is just one tag locking up or just one wheel? probally just need more pressure. see what happens
  11. Yep if it locks up turn the regulator till it rolls. just do it loaded. or it could get interesting. If you get to light in the front try to load farther forward if possible. Is this in a dump truck? I've seen trucks in Indiana loaded up to the headboard and not much towards the back
  12. I just need to empty the fridge. Then could shut the truck off and shut the fridge off. and let the truck cool down alittle better. Might get another battery and put an inverter on it to run a fan to circulate air.Idk another week or so. then we'll be home.
  13. Difference is your in a daycab I got a bunk,Fiance and mutt. He is looking at me like wtf. Heading to Tx so it is only going to get better.Thinking about renting a car and letting them go home. I hate having him that hot and nothing I can do right now to cool him off.
  14. Sounds like you need more down pressure. What kind of pressure are you running in the axle. I know every application is different, But I am running between 90 and 100psi in mine. If your running 50 try 55 or 60
  15. Mo today was hell. And my Ac broke. Looks like we are going to be sleeping in motels till we get home and get this fixed.
  16. Thank you guys. I really Appreciate it. Spent it out here a week late at Walcott. I'll head on up to Bellevue in the morning to load.
  17. I saw an olive drab CL700 down in Ms. Can't remember the base. was hooked to a 3+3+3 Lowboy. Thinking it was down off of 59. Also saw it going across 40 a year or so later
  18. That isn't bad hell my Bobtail tips the scales over 28k
  19. to the jungle Out of curiosity when was the last time you changed the fuel filters?
  20. Unless I looked at it wrong or they are over 1 million. Depends on the idle time. If I am idling 100% of my time I will do 168 hours a week. In 1 year that is 8736 hours. If they ran them all the time or just did local stuff and no idle time. Or new hour meter. Maybe I am missing something somewhere. What was the life of these. Did they sit and idle alot and little mileage? Or am I just out in left field
  21. to the jungle
  22. Unless those are new hour meters that sounds about right for the mileage.
