  4. Went and saw Transformers today. Gonna wait till I get home or somewhere that has it in 3d as It would be a hell of alot better. They really didn't have alot of Megatron in the Mack configuration. Had a few other Macks in there.Waste Management got a good plug though

  7. Thats a bill I don't want last big load I took out of there was 1000 from Baltimore to the Pa line on 81. I don't know what this one is going to cost but I think 6 to 700 from Wv on 68. The fuel alone is going to kill me

  11. I know this thread is long since done I did in the big truck for a bit. I just couldn't see the difference.Any positive advantage there was you went thru alot of it and the cost didn't justify the expense unlike the smaller vehicles. esp since my pick up sits for months at a time. Now in my pick up which is diesel I see a major difference in power, smoke, and economy. My dad uses it in his toyota and he has gotten approx 22 more miles a tank or more. I ran it in my diesel gen and it smoked alot less and I was getting more hours out of the tank
  12. This pics been around for a few. When I was still at Landstar Every year at the Heavy Haul meeting this was brought up along with the threat of instant termination. Only thing I can figure is he didn't have a triaxle tractor and to get the weight right he had to load counter weight and final drives to the back I've loaded a few like this and layed the boom over the neck. but once you pick the trailer up. Common sense esp if anything is taller then the stacks you measure the damn load.Guess we all have our blonde moments

  15. Don't feel bad.Went across 54,285,to 70 back out to 25 in Nm yesterday grossing around 148k let me tell you it is a long ride that heavy and those mountains sucked. Wasn't bad for a while then up we go. 25 mph most of the time. get down to White Sands and We start climbing and dropping gears. Get down to Low Range 4th with the splitter back in low running 18 mph up. Highlight of my day is when we got to the pull lane 1/2 way or so up and a reefer caught me and would not pass me for anything. Made me feel good knowing he barely caught us and was not going to attempt to get hung out there and not get around us. He flew by us on the down stroke when we came down in 3rd jake a blarin in an no jake zone
  16. Idk I never cared for grass burners. You sit anywhere and the wind is right your cab smells like exhaust. If it is mounted right I really don't se how you gain from a bigger box. still gonna be close to the cab.
  17. Sounds like tires or steering. Don't get caught with them up when loaded. I lift mine either starting in to the turn or way back so the wheels are all the way u and bags re inflated. Also drop start dropping mine when I get halfway thru the turn sometimes after I straighten out. All depends what and or who is around. If on my outside controls it stays down till i stop and get out to lift them.
  18. Just a regular lowboy. Wish it was on a beam, would of gotten my height down alot. just got the regular deck.no ac,blade, ripper, just the base, cab, and rops. It's not super heavy but Az is giving me a hard time.
  19. yeah SS building. Had a bunch of guys there. Daily was running shuttles of 11's to there yard. Keen Who knows what they where doing. Glad it was at cat because they didn't charge to set up the trailer. Keen always does. I hate going to there yards because of the attitudes. I got the number down. I'll see when the next time we come thru there again. I'll let you know.
  20. Na East Peoria. That was a fiasco. Didn't go out the right exit was on the wrong side of the plant and being permitted a 15'3" made it interesting. So a few turns and a few low over passes we got back on route and shagged ass. Sitting at the last rest area sb on 55 before 270
  21. Sweet. I never got to hear it. Was to busy drooling and watching traffic. Had some yahoo in a pickup pulling a trailer get into a big truck from what I hear. Got a D9T on going to Az
  22. Thats who it was. Not use to seeing a working B much anymore. Got one by the house that hauls a van for Brandsmart. Just caught me by surprise seeing it. It damn sure looked good though.
  23. While stuck in a traffic jam on 55 south today do to an accident. I look up to see a Torquise B model wrecker working. Screwed up on the first pic but got a few as it exited and headed west. Anybody seen this one?
  24. Ah ok that makes alittle sense. But wouldn't it be easier to put it in place as they already have it on there or do they got to do other mods?
