  1. Out of all the years I have heard this today was the first I have seen it. We went to the Home Town Buffet for lunch and went thru the lot of the shopping center. People already camped out and people sleeping on whatever they could find. I was just amazed. Morons
  2. I've heard from drivers anywhere from 160 to over 200. Depending on the setup and where they are going. But I know they run the heaviest out of anyplace I have seen multiaxle setups running legally
  3. Depending on how far they got to go with it. walk the bastard esp if the pavement is gonna get redone.
  4. Had a long way to back up empty got moving just enough so it wasn't a dead start in high and man let me tell you what. that fast backwards keeps you on your toes for sure
  5. Hell but there is a difference from an 8LL to a 7. my recolection is the 7 speed is a 5 speed with 2 gears in lo. Moved a mixer with one wasn't bad for the little I drove it. But I would say it is a flat ground trans at best.
  6. Pipe size,How hard is the rock and also how much they want to do a day. In S.Fl they are using Pc 650's750's, 800's and 365 or 375 cats just for underground. In South Dad they rock is hard and shallow
  7. If they are stripping it it must be a weight thing and getting told to drop it down more. It sucks. so far we haven't been inspected coming out of Ny YET
  8. I must be missing something?Definetly a big machine and big trailer. Looks almost like a Cozad but has a Diamond look about it also
  9. Damn for a min I almost thought you had been to Robs place. with the layout. But his door is bigger
  10. something you may want to do. It will cost money. Have a survey crew go survey where he weighed you. exactly. Then take it to court if it has rises and drops or leans. Weights will be off. also as I have yet to put this in play I will make them jack the truck and trailer and get more scales out if nessary to weigh every thing at once as for me rises and drops of any kind will mess with my weights. Only time I drove up on portables damn truck gave me a hard time and after that I will refuse even if it means a Heavy fine for refusal to weigh a apermited load
  11. If this makes you feel any better Tom. I do not have the copy of this as this was a long time ago and was a company driver. Nc nailed me at the scale on 85 and 40 for just under 11k on the spot. Plus new permit. All because the description was wrong. Luckily I didn't order the permit and I was a company driver
  12. Wow that sucks. Long time ago I got off and tried going around the Pa scale on 70. Didn't know it was a rest area. Hadn't been doing otr long. Needless to say turn and turn and walla 10 weight limit. I was like Shit can't turn back now. Hammer down. Had a gradall on was around 100k. Got back to 79 and turned to get back on the big road after hitting many snow covered mountains and crossing a bridge I had no business on I leveled the guard rail getting back on. I then here LOwboy you got it on??? Hey Landstar you got it on????? Finally yeah and I hear you got a chain dragging. Ok ty.
  13. Nice rides both sucks about the Kw and glad you arrived alive. Had to be hard sitting there looking at the ground waiting to be Cut out. does she ride with you anymore after that. When we took our little adventure which kept us wheels down she now gets jumpy everytime the truck zips if I hit the fog line or something. Oh well she'll get over it
  14. Ouch I bet the one driver about dropped a load in the seat when he got hit. 2nd moron. Measure twice and cut once.
  15. Something that beastly in Al will be a great on site truck. To heavy to do much of anything else on the road with
  16. Think the dog is drunk looked like he was leaning to the right alittle

  21. Lmao that is to funny Here are my comments. I've looked at alot of different things and bought what I needed when I needed it. Looks good I hope it will last you a long time. Was actually looking at a volvo a few months ago but to short to put a lift axle on. Wanted something lighter to get the lightweight down with a smaller trailer. Congrats and good luck. Drove a daycab long time ago and that thing was quiet. Rough riding little bastard but quiet
