Me, I sure do like the sound of that beautiful, unmuffled, two stroke with Garret turbo giving all it's got to yank that 10,00lbs up the mountain in top gear through the night. Priceless Your right about that it is doing all it can do just to keep 10k moving let alone in top gear.

you know thats the difference between a driver and a steering wheel holder. A driver looks for the shift pattern and doesn't assume. if no shift pattern when you go for a few rounds with the trainer you watch and see how he shifts or it shifts. Sometimes the trainer isn't worth a damn either. I've drivine alot of different trucks,trans, and motors. Still screw up when I jump into something else. But hell we all have done that forgotten what gear or hey this isn't my truck damn pattern is different or what the hell damn thing won't split in low range when you need an extra gear on the bottom end.

Problem is they can't get the plug out. Get it backed off then it comes to a hard stop and they can't get it out. I would of done something else. Had I of been told about this in the first place I would of used another plug. Hell got 3 on the front 1 each side and one dead center up front and 2 rear of pan 1 has a sensor and the other is in line with the cross member. Also heard the pan was 7k

Ok all you John Deere fans. I have seen a pic another driver got and not supposed to have. Deere is coming out with a 944. PIc I saw had this thing wired for sound with all the data they are collecting. It is huge. looks to be the equivlent off a 988 but not sure. probably every bit of 105k. Not sure how many have heard about this monster but it may be hitting jobs and pits in the near future. Definatley going to be hitting the proving grounds to run the piss out of it or down at there Laredo test facility of 27 miles by 18 mile farm. they got everything there and they run the dog piss out of it. Also have a Pete down there with a Bulldog on the hood. try to get a pic next time I go down to the place.

did what I had to do yesterday and got back to Davenport to load. Dropped the trailer and Ann and the mutt at the hotel. Had a cab bag leaking and decided to go to Walcott. Then decided to get the truck serviced as I was 3k over what I normally service it at. Last Ta stripped the plug but got it tight enough to leave. Never said a word. Yesterday they couldn't get the plug out and it won't retighten at all. Just enough not to come out by hand or leak. Truck is at shaker but can't get me in till tomorrow evening at best. Is there something I could do. Calling Cat tomorrow also to see if they can get this done early as I am loaded and need to get rolling. Ta is paying for everythign minus the motel as we already had it. On Cat pans is there a quick fix, any options. should I get the plug out as far as it will go before it comes to a halt and jb weld it and tighten it as tight as possible, Or bite the bullet and sit and wait. good thing is unless someone has a pto they are not unloading the 844K off the trailer or not easily to say the least.
