Ok New question for you guys. Need help with some routing. State and county are fighting. Is there any restrictions on 20. Coming from 39 ,20,Montague St, W Harrison AVE. to 3110 Prairie Rd. West Side Tractor Sales Got a state permit for most of the route but they are fighting for Rockford both saying 1 I can go on 1 route state saying no. State saying another route county saying no. Routing is what County has said. Is there any construction or anything I need to know about. Alpine has a 14'5" bridge and permitted 14'6". Any help is appreciated.

I know a few of you guys live in or around Rockford. Might be there today or tomorrow if any one cares to meet up . Might be staying there also if nothing else comes about till after the holiday. Any motels to stay away from or where is a good place to stay. A/c is broke so gonna be in a room

Been trying to get a pic of the old twin screw Ford for a while. using it as a generator in Idaho Seen these today in Mn 1 Minneapolis Moline, 1 Farmall, 1 Hell I forget, ! Cat 60 supposedly ran and something in between and the old Ford truck. All in Great shape. said they are going to Belgium. People there are paying good money to get these

Here is the problem with that. less fuel purchase means they are raising the fuel tax. so in other words still paying just as much as before if not more. crooks got to get there money some how

Got a curb story. Only been running the road a few months and was in Mi. Construction crew went to lunch and I had gotten a room. Couldn't make a turn in the lot so went out the back and hit the curb. No mind you I didn't just take out a foot or 3 I took out about 25'. and it was just poured that morning. got backed up turned around and got around back and parked. Got out of the truck and into the room and watched. Man they where PISSED. Came looking around the truck but there was no tracks and I was out of site. Later that night I went and got my stuff out of the truck. and wiped away any evidence of concrete off the ferame of the trailer.

Pa makes you call. 2nd time I didn't and in 2 weeks there was more contruction then I new what to do with. But whatever permit was that way and the first time we called took us 4 hours to finally get a working number

If not mistaken he passed me on the pull on 470 just coming out of the mountaineer. or soon afterwards. Might of been on 70 already but he got off 10 miles or so later made a left looked like going to some pipeline stuff. He was westbound. I was stuck doing 55. Friggen buckeye and there permitted speed limit crap.

Thought it was supposed to be the outside lane. Outside in 3 lanes going left and outside on 2 lanes going right. or inside on the right but the one on the outside of the turn. Supoosed to be in the right on a single lane turn and we all know it never works right doing that usually need 1.5 or in my case 2 to 2.5 lanes to make a right turn on some of these roads

Yeah those Billy Big Riggers are great. usually in Paccars, Binders,and shakers. sometimes Macks. I just keep moving and let them figure out whats going to happen if they don't stop. Had to beat the piss out of a sleeper truck in front of me this morning parked illegally. Guy a few trucks down was leaving when I was doing trash and I knocked the ever living hell out of the sleeper. Guys all looked pissed but I was grinning ear to ear.

You running across 68 and 70? 200 should be it or good. if you got a manual fan override I would flip it on at the bottom, Now mind you it will rob power but I just hate having the fan on,off,on,off. There are some good pulls that way

One of the biggest P.I.T.A. to run. I'll take a 350 any day over this esp if it is a pedal steer and the throttle is on the gear shift.

Looks interesting. Kinda grows on you. I kinda agree. But if the cab was good and the rest of the unit was to far gone then what the heck. Save something on it some how. Not knowing the story I don't know. Also I think that is Binder running gear. That looks like the same wheels of the roll back I drove long time ago -

Glad to see more West Coasters getting into Macks. Rolled thru Cle Elum Yesterday sitting over in North Bend. Probably roll back thru. Usually hit the rest area before 82 -
If I am out there it will probably be for fuel. maybe a quick walk thru if they have parking for the truckstop anot just the show. If not will be a fuel only splash and go

Maintain pressure in the tires. and keep a spare on a rim. Most places will not mount or dismount them as they are a super SOB to do. rims are different then the 22.5's as far as mounting the tires go. Also remember speed is an enemy with them. 60 maybe 65 is about flat out as you want to take them for extended periods and Michillin and also I think Continetals are the favorite that last the longest with them.

I know alot of guys out west run some type of retarder along with the jake. was only like 83k and flew by them but on the downhill had to get down in the box to hold back with no brake assistance. Those same guys flew by me and I never once saw brake lights. Talked to a buddy of mine on the same haul and thats when he told me they also run retarders -
I don't flash my lights anymore. Maybe on occasion but thats it. No need.
