  1. Great to put a face with the name. No problem on breakfast it was my pleasure. Those 2 strokers uggh. I couldn't wait to get that oil leaker off the trailer. But got a thorough water proofing of the deck. I think this makes 5 I've gotten to meet up with. Will try to get up there again relatively soon.
  2. lucas 5th wheel lube works wonders. But drips. PAcks might work or get out the grease gun
  3. Last time I lost my cluster on my Pete it was a fuse I blew when I accidentally grounded out the dash trying to pull a light
  4. How much idle time did he or both have. While loading or unloading if there was any wait time. That will make a difference. HAke if it makes you feel better this trip I averaged 4.3 to 4.8 from Tooele,Ut to Clarks Summit,Pa. cruising between 55 and 65. Should get upwards of 5.6 to 6 with this trip as it is going to be light and small going south.
  5. Forgot about that. If not a big prybar works wonders
  6. Hell we could see how far he pushes it around the yard till he raises it. He'll be alright
  7. I have a Rand Mcnally So far I like it so far. Problem I have is it likes to freeze
  8. Once you back under if your not lined up right the trailer should move either way to line up with the 5th wheel. once you hear the distinctive lock. pull forward and give a tug. If it stays attached get ou and under the trailer looking at the kingpin and see if the latch is locked. If not do not move with it. Air the trailer up and do not forget the landing gear. Most are 2 speed gear. So if your cranking and cranking and it goes nowhere fast either pull out or push in to change range
  9. I shot a Vid for Ben yesterday. 8V92 fied up in the ole Oshkosh. Crappy vid to say the least. Might get some more when they unload this thing Wednesday
  10. Pa has some hills but Wv off highway has really got some monesters
  11. Interesting just never heard of it. Where did it come from? I mean what company. Some have been notorious for putting them in the drink. Alot of companies will not rent anything to these companies because they never get more then a few weeks out of a new machine
  12. I've heard of alot of things on excavators but what is a crowd cylinder. Had they of used a bigger truck you can move a 450 on 8 axles.hell in Fl if your light enough and have the big blanket permit you can move them on a 147k 7 axle permit.
  13. CLutch just may be stuck or rusted from sitting. If you can get it in gear with the engine off bump the starter or if you got room start it with the clutch depressed in gear let it roll and bump the throttle. If it is just stuck it will release
  14. Ok D signs mean dimensional. Go figure oversize load wasn't good enough. Is that another set of duals on the outside making it a tridem? I have never seen that. The little jodog or single axle jeep make the truck a tridem as Alot of Canada doesn't recognize lift axles. Also keeps the truck to 244" Wb. Tridrives up to I think 277" are allowed. Which would be 294" on a tandem. Seriously thinking of converting mine to tridrive and start running Canada. Looks like A Pete Sleeper. Never seen the big Cat 24H Graders moved complete. I am thinking because the guy that just drug my load to Alberta had problems reloading. Frost law is still going on up there and if these are resent they need all the axles to get to 16k an Axle or something like that. he was allowed 16 steer,49k drives on a tridrive and 50 on the trailer tridems. Idk why the difference on the axle groups but that is what they told him. What might move on smaller trailers now needs alot more axles for the frost laws.
  15. cool pics. Mammoet has some very impressive equipment. like watching the push pull setups. like the tridrive Pete with pan on. Randy P will appreciate it as well I bet
  16. welcome to the jungle. good save. I agree with the others, original look. oh what happened to the wheel? someone put it on in the wrong spot
  17. I'd like to loose more then an axle with that Teacher
  18. Who you gonna call? Big Oshkosh M911. Detroit powered. Got the vin and the axle info also. What is left of the deck after it finished it off. Since it is a top heavy whore I am leaning something fierce. With the tire in the hole. Let me tell you it is going to be a long ride To Pa. I feel like I am on a boat with the amount of sway I have. Also for you enjoyment I left the Pic of the Peterbilt out.
