  1. What kind of thunk? Does it act up as you slow down? ,Accel , you take off it does anything other then thunk?
  2. that sucks. But as long as they didn't hit the trailer and you had them sign first there problem
  3. Yeah but Tn is a 20k an Axle state. Last permit I had (yearly permit) 150k any amount of axles no more then 20k Per axle. But Tn also does amedment permits when you have the big annual. So weather you got 40,44,46,48 axles your only gonna get 20k. Now the only scale that weighs you is on 81 before 40. Otherwise if your oversize just pull around back and walk in. Tom 12k steer 21k drive and whatever the trailer is rated at. So your pretty well limited to 59k Or cars and anything light.
  4. STRAPS ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you put a chain on it that is the easiest way to never get called back and they will unload you after chewing your ass out! 2 straps 1rst 10 feet by law 1 every 10 feet. I like a few more. Maybe 2 on the back. I would say 8 or 10 straps. Make sure not frayed. But 2 miles your call. Do it right the first time and you'll have less headaches. You might also need bridges to level it out. Get wood and make sure it levels and secure to deck
  5. Almost looks like a 235 but the stick looks small.
  6. Being Oilfield probably 6 something or 7 something. Alot of those bed trucks have big Planetary rears. But being in the pic it isn't a twin steer or tall it probably has 44's or bigger and 5 or 6 something rears.
  7. Some people you just got to wonder about
  8. Damn how hard is it to read the shift pattern where ever it might be if it isn't removed. Every truck I have ever driven thats the first thing I looked for. Hauled a few Mixers that had Mack 7 speeds. think it was lo 1-2 hi 1-5. Different but as it was said steering wheel holders
  9. No way in hell you can run 72 unless it is down hill in Neutral. I could be wrong though. with 5.60's on 24.5 rubber in top cog 60 flat out wind pushing doing the flintstone shuffle
  10. What kind of tires are you running on the trailer and truck. I have been running a 4 of these on my trailer. 4 axle lowboy. with just 4 of these I noticed an increase however slight it was but an increase in my economy. Now multiply that by 3 more axles which I had not done at the time I should gain a very noticeable increase. Might try these on your trailer and if you do not lug tires on the tractor to and you should notice a big saving. http://www.michelintruck.com/michelintruck/tires-retreads/tireInfo.do?tread=XZA2%20ENERGY The weight will hurt but it can be gained. I gross between 132k and 160k average between 4 to 7 mpg loaded and empty. best loaded is 6 flat
  11. First question what is he grossing? Also how fast is the truck going? Idle time will play a part but if they are home everynight there is no idle time when not dumping. No matter what you get even with a 600 and that gearing you'll drop a gear usually. What kind of mileage are you getting? Also may want to run a hard roll tarp to cover the top or if you have a dual open tailgate open the center to reduce drag. I can tell you from experience with that gearing you can get mileage or decent mileage but it is a work in progress. Also I know more about Cat Vs Mack and they have there own sweet spot. What kind of boost is it running? HAs it gone down any? Oh yeah welcome to the jungle
  12. GOnna try but won't know till it gets closer and know what I am doing and where I'll be at.
  13. Welcome to the jungle. Lets see some pics. Oh and I have no clue
  14. Been looking at that Sleeper everytime I go to Robs
  15. If not mistaken. E-6 at 350 is wound up pretty tight as it is. They don't handle much more then that and stay together. I know it isn't what you want to here.
  16. Quite a few people with your name up there.
