Had one of there guys grossing 400k with that self powered trailer rolling down 81 south just south of Roanoke walk up those mountains like he was empty. With a legal weight truck I had a hell of a time getting by them and gone. They caught us at the Petro in Glade Springs left the truck on the road and sent the escort in for fuel.

Well got unloaded and went to Cat. Confirmed Crank was broke. Never had a truck or anything run let alone pull with a broke crank. i want to go take a serious look at the Cl I looked at but my dad has other plans and not sure what we are doing with the motor. Bored to tears here in Hanover,Md.

Thats an ass pukering feeling when you hit the brakes and it starts going sideways. Few weeks ago we where stayed in Raton,Nm night before a big storm came in. Also got down to -1 had to idle the truck in the motel lot. not happy. Left the next morning roads where alright not great but not horrible. I was light on the drives the way I had to scale had alot on the lift axle and steer. light on the trailer. pulled all the mountains great not 1 spin or anything. Got just south of Santa Fe and it got interesting. Some jack ass got on the highway and into the left lane. (now mind you I am not having any traction problems) I hit the brakes to start slowing down and truck is slowing but not like it should. I am getting on them harder and harder. Then I feel the truck getting pulled towards the median. Let off snap back straight and hit the brakes again with the Jake. Caught something in the mirror that time. since I was leaning left with the crown the trailer shot into the median. I got an 844 Deere on. Let off the brakes and the guy in front of me decided he didn't want to be out front anymore and got back over. Shot by him never slowed down and must of been 5 miles I was out of all of it then west bound towards Arizona.

I think thats the reason I kinda want this. I want a newer truck. Just do not want all the EGR crap. I'll probably keep the Pete and get it on the road again if it is a major problem. I want the headaches of getting bigger and getting drivers. Probably stroke out then but damnit only one way to find out.

Yeah it was a Claiborne truck. Buddy of mine drove for them. They would know what it weighed for sure.

I'll have them weigh it if I get serious about it this week. Those other trucks are to light spec'd. The CL doesn't have a headache rack or the monstere I have so that will be lighter. I am just guessing on the weight but that is spec'd and geared more for what I want. Would like 4.33's but the 4.56's work. My Pete has heavier driveline. The Driveshaft is a hell of a lot bigger. even the axle housing looks bigger on the Pete.
