  1. It is also shorter, but the frame is alittle thicker but only Dbl where they stretched it. Idk why they just didn't order the truck with the right WB as it went from Mack to Bentz before it hauled it's first load.
  2. Idk my Pete is about 29k Bobtail. I really wanted to go get a lightweight but they where not having it as they waited for me to get up there at 1430 when they wanted to leave at 1200. SOB is alittle taller then the Pete and I think the 5th wheel is alittle taller to. It rode differently and the sleeper is solid mounted. First thing is first need to find out what is wrong with the Pete before I go out and get another truck
  3. Yeah the Pete has had it's problems but it's a 98 with just shy of 1million on the clock and been a heavy haul truck it's whole life. not sure if the crank is screwed. Antrim diesel and Alban Cat say so and they haven't looked at the truck. Kelly tractor in Miami says balancer as well as my dad. This is already set up,I just hate to get something else I don't know when I know what I can and can't do with the Pete. I run the hell out of it and it has never left me out to dry on the side of the road. It has bitched a few times but has always been good. When the economy tanked maintenece went down and now I am paying the price for not keeping up with it.

  5. Not sure what I am going to do yet gonna do some more testing tomorrow but I am preparing for the worst with the Peterbilt. So far I've been told with the Cat it is a crank broke but I don't by it as it runs with power. Went and looked at an 07 CL733 I'll post the vin if anyone could look it up and see if it has had any problems or been a problem child. Really not much Mack to it Cummins,Eaton trans and Rockwell rears. But set up how I need and has a bigger bunk.
  6. Welcome to the jungle. Sorry about your loss of the Bulldogs. Pictures we love pics. and lastly IDK
  7. Your right a lot of old 13's are like that or the smaller ones. 88 T-600 I drove was like that, a 9 speed swap was like that and Robs R model is like that just about had to start over when I forgot. My 18 isn't that touchy, If it is really cold out it is slower splitting and sometimes I am to fast on and off the throttle as I miss the gear. Never drove a Mack with a 13 or 18 speed and can't compare the splits to a RR
  8. Need some input here. Truck has been idling alittle rough for a while. High idle helps alittle. Yesterday coming across Ohio started getting a pretty good vibration under power. ( Driveline is New from the trans back) Got parked and went to idle up and the truck just started shaking. and sounded like it had a miss but no smoke like an injector. Opened the hood and nosed around had Ann shut the truck off and restart it after idling up it would shake. looked to the front and when she shut it down the Damper on the front moved around, in and out 1 time. Started it back up and did it again. I cannot move the damper by hand. It was to cold not to idle so ran the truck all night. Left this morning and got to Hagerstown from Hancock and other then the Vibration under power no power loss, Smoke, or anything else. Any ideas other then a damper going out. Tried calling Antrim diesel today as there hours showed today but no awnser and tried calling Alban Cat. no awnser either. Gonna try both monday and hope for the best. I need to be in Baltimore Wednesday to unload as this machine already has an extention to deliver. Should of been today but the unions reached a 30 day extention and pricks decided since they got that not going to work on Saturday like they where supposed to. thats another story.
  9. I have found on the 18 sometimes it works alittle better taking it out of gear. Usually just flipp the switch and back off and get back on the throttle. I like the set up. Didn't know they had the set up to put handles on the air shift. Would like to put the low high on the dash like the rear selector is and just have the splitter and the main coming thru the floor. Only reason is was told by you guys along time ago to much motor for a actual 2 stick and this would be the next best solution for the look. Or leave the hi/lo on the shifter and move the splitter to another shifter. That turbo would get annoying all day wonder what kind of power he is putting down. Sounds good though
  10. I agree thats what it should sound like. That is a great looking truck also
  11. I don't even think it is a 13 speed. even with the handle spun sideways I do not see the red splitter button or hell a gray or blue one for that matter. Also when I passed the Ritchie Bros Auction today on 70 west of Columbus I saw a Green DMM all by it's lonesome. Looked to be an old mixer truck no drum but looked like art of the rotator still on it. Know nothing about it as this as it was a drive by stalking
  12. Welcome to the jungle
  13. LOL
  14. For off road spring is king. I do think a properly set up air ride will do just as good as a spring ride. Tricks. dump air when dumping and raise it back up should help with the spin as the bags aren't jacked up. your only gonna be able to dump on level ground as the bags will lean alot more then springs. ( Should dump level only anyway) An airride trailer will take out alot of shock also but you got the sway factor when dumping when the material shoots out.A good seat and an airride cab will help alot. Drove a Ch with 4 spring Reyco that rode better then an all airride Volvo. But the Volvo was a super short Wb.
  15. Wish I'd of gotten the quad cab myself but got the 12 valve stick and it flies.
  16. We might pass you somewhere OD. Loading in Morris,il then off to Baltimore
  17. Hope you had a good Christmas Rob. Probably gonna have to use the winch and get her out
  18. It has a boat anchor in it. Should of known that
  19. you'll go blind
  20. Yeah and 12 will get her 20
  21. Could it of been repowered
  22. Idk about the rest but I would definatley get up close and personal for a look
  23. I think if your gonna buy it to run it I would pass. Motor, it has been sitting a few years all 10 tires possibly if dry rotted, For another 1000 or so you can have a running unit. If your gonna part it out. It takes time doing that and it may sit for a month to years before it is all gone.
  24. Merry Christmas
