  1. Congratulations and good luck on the new job Mike! Ron
  2. Not to step on your toes Carl, but the sheet metal (hood, radiator shell, and grill) not to mention the radiator on an "EH" are much larger than the ones on the smaller "E" models. The length of the cowl on the cab of the larger "E" models is also longer (same length of the cowl on an "A" model) This truck looks to be a "DE" Most interior parts and windshield would pretty much be the same. Ron
  3. Looks good Bill, Chassis # looks like it's a "DE" (still an "E" model), 335th one made. Contact the Mack Museum in Allentown, they should be able to get you a chassis record for your truck. There is no charge for this, although a generous donation is highly recommended. Go to their website for information, also should be a list for parts suppliers for antique Mack trucks. Ron
  4. Glad you're back, Hope to see you in York Dave! Ron
  5. Now that's something you don't see everyday! And it was a firetruck to start with! You're right Al, Randy wouldn't think too much of it!
  6. Jim, Jacobs also marketed the Jacobs ER electric retarder for driveline application, sounds similar in operation to the one you mentioned above. Ron
  7. Your "F" model is an early one, steel dash- torsion bar cab. The doors are basically the same, however at some point in time the door locks were changed. Not trying to throw a monkey wrench in here, just be aware that they are not all the same. They might be able to be modified (change the lock in the newer door to the older style) to fit the striker on the old cab. I never tried it. Ron
  8. I'm with the rest of you, Where's Mark? Ron
  9. That will be a great addition to the museum. Have a safe trip Dave. Ron
  10. Looks good JT, Keep up the good work! Ron
  11. Ray, Was talking to Peter at Trucktoberfest, seemed like a really nice guy. ( and he didn't call my truck a Mini-Mack!) Ron
  12. Ray, I didn't realize that you were the one who took the B-20 with the stake body to the customer center. Ron
  13. Mike, Try contacting John Chalmers in Cashtown, PA PH. # (717) 334-8709 Ron
  14. Looks good Mike, Early 63 with the windows in the bunk. Ron
  15. I'm with Mike, I don't think they ever made a single turbo 864, only twin turbo's. We had one in an "F" model. F-719T 1093 built in 1967. You can better believe this one didn't have an APE pump on it. All the ENDT864's had PSJ or PSM pumps on them, they're the only ones that would fit with where the turbo's were mounted. Ron
  16. Mike, Some of the later 864's used the American Bosch APE multiple plunger pumps like the 865's and 866's. Much better pump than the PSJ's and PSM's We had a naturally aspirated 864 with that pump that was rated at 270 H.P. rather than the normal 255 H.P. rating. That motor is in the "F" model Mike Yarnall has. Ron
  17. What's with the "LT" with the hood cut out? See it has a Sangamo tachograph in it too! Ron
