  17. Ken, I upgraded our last two "MH"'s with these map lights, they were '93's. There is a bracket already mounted to the roof skin for this lamp, all you need is four"J" nut speed clips for the screws to thread into. The wires are, to the best of my memory, also already there. The only trick is figuring where exactly to put the holes in the headliner. If you start with a fairly big hole right in the middle for the wires, that the light will cover up, then you can figure out from there where to put the smaller holes for the screws. I'm pretty sure this light was made by Grote so if you don't have any luck getting it from the Mack Co. maybe you could try a Grote distributor. Ron

  19. I remember talking with Jim on the phone back in the 80's. We were talking about "F" models and he's the one that told me, "On a quiet night in the summer, off in the distance, over the dull hum of the crickets, if you listened carefully enough you could hear an "F" model Mack rusting away" Laughed my ass off and I don't think I'll ever forget it! A really nice guy! Ron
  20. Econodyne Blue The ugliest color engine paint the Mack Co. ever used. Whatever happened to red engines with chrome valve covers in fire trucks? Ron
  21. E model rear window glass drawing 15EH247.pdf You can also contact the museum and have them Email you a dimensional drawing for the glass. With a little care you can make your own template to take to the glass shop. I did this for the rear window in my "E" model. Mat board for framing pictures is great to use for a template and is available at Michaels or A.C. Moore. Ron
  22. We had early F models (steel dashes) with both duplexes and triplexes and as far as I can remember they were the same. Ron
  23. Only ones I remember are the last five. Howard Monroe who was our agent in Lexington, KY. Wilson Slaughter, driver from West Chester, PA Walter Yohn, driver from West Chester. Pappy Gannon, driver from West Chester. Herb Maughan, driver and owner operator from Laurel MD. Ron
  24. Mark, We had 4 different lease operators over the years that I can remember. Their tractor #'s were in the 600 series, those numbers went from #601 which was an H-67 Mack to #608 which was a 400 series Brockway. #604 was actually leased by us from either the Mack Company or through Horner Mack, I don't know for sure how that worked, but we ended up buying it and it became our unit #168 which was the first F-715 we owned. #168 was a 1963 and the four that we purchased new #169 through #172 were 1964's #601 is the H-67 on the right and was owned by the gentleman on the right in the picture. The invoice is for #169 the first of the "F" models that we bought. This is the one that Mike yarnall owns today. Ron
  25. Mark, We had a lease operator that had a G-75 painted in our colors, I'd love to find a picture of it but I don't think any exist. Before the G model he had an International Sightliner, and after the G model he had an International Emeryville. The Emeryville was fitted with a horseshoe that was cut into three pieces, two pieces tilted with the cab and the bottom was stationary. Ron
