  1. Hey Mark did you ever buy Tastykakes at Speed and Briscoe's in Ashland , VA. The only place I ever saw Tastykakes clearly marked, I can't remember the exact price, but say they were marked $.35 from Tastykake and they'd mark them up $.15 or $.20!!!! It was never one of my favorite places to eat either! Ron
  2. Go to their website Ben they'll ship them anywhere! Ron
  3. If that be the case Mike I've got quite a few models of your old trailer!! Ron
  4. They've always been that way as far back as I can remember Leslie, but don't feel too bad. I had "truck mechanic" that was working at a place next door to where I store and work on my "ED" He came over one day last year and asked if I had a long piece of pipe he could borrow? I asked him what he needed it for? He said he was trying to get the wheels of an older International to put bake pads on it, had the right side off but couldn't get the nuts on left side to budge!! I knew what the problem was and went next door to help him------He did the same thing you did---WTF??!!??, Left Hand Threads??!!?? Ron
  5. That's absolutely correct, the block had a sand hole in it and the crankcase filled up with water! But after that that motor stayed in it till it had a little over 900,000 miles on it, had been inframed at least a couple of times but it was still the same motor. The motor was finally pulled because the oil pressure was low due to worn cam bushings. That's when the "C" engine was installed. Ron
  6. Mike and appledog, Have you ever tried Martins (different Martins) Kettle cooked chips, plain and barbecue, they're pretty damn good. Reminds me a lot of Conn's potato chips from out in Ohio. When my brother Tom and I used to stop at Hebron we never left there with less than three or four bags! A couple of green onion and a couple of barbecue! We usually only had about two left by the time we got back to West Chester! Ron
  7. Be careful Leslie, I know, I have no room to talk, but you don't want to have to get the springs re-arched in the Superdog before you bring it to Macungie! Have fun! Ron
  8. That's a shame Ken, would've been nice to have one to go with your "MH"! I guess you're going to go back to buying Arnold rolls for your hamburgers and hot dogs! Lets all support Ken on this------- No More Potato Rolls! Ron
  9. Chuck, #169 is a 1964 F-715T now owned by Mike Yarnall. It's chassis number is F715T1340. Originally built with a 255 H.P. END864 and a TRT7220 13 speed triplex transmission. In the mid seventies the engine was replaced with a 270 H.P. END864C. Ron
  10. Gotta agree with that Mike Got the cut outs in the windshield wiper access panels and the elongated mirror arms. No Mack in the grille and, what was first, the special UPS steps and tread plates. These steps and tread plates were used on all late production "MH"s even if they weren't painted brown! Also has the "B" model fuel tank. Ron
  11. Hopefully I'll be there with the little "ED" The last time it was there was about 25 years ago! Looking forward to meeting you. Ron
  12. That's one beautiful "B" model, Rich Thanks for posting. Ron
  13. Not to step on anybody's toes but I think Mike means they are 1 1/16" hex. The thread size is 5/8-11 and I'm pretty sure they were "ball face" nuts. The pt.#s for 5/8" ball face nuts are as follows: Dayton #13-8002 Euclid #E-4986A Erie #538U BWP #M-44 Ron
  14. The "F" model never came with big letters--always small, always metal! Ron
  15. Thanks, Mark I enjoy being on here and talking with all you guys! I hope you all don't get tired of my stories, sometimes they weren't that funny when they were happening but they sure do seem funny when you look back on them! Ron
  16. Thank you Mike, I really appreciate that! You really don't know how much you liked doing something until you can't do it anymore! Ron
  17. No the White 3000's were also referred to as "Bubblenose Whites" Ron
  18. This was unit #154 1958 B-61, Chassis #B61T21337 Originally built built with an air starter and of course was a naturally aspirated END673, trans. was a nine speed overdrive duplex. This tractor was originally purchased to haul milk from Camden. N.J. to points at the Jersey shore when we hauled milk for Sealtest. It was one of a matched pair the other being unit #155 with corresponding chassis #B61T21338. After National Dairy, in the mid sixties, decided that they didn't need our services anymore they were used to haul horses. They were first taken to Camden Mack to be converted to electric start and were upgraded to turbos. They were used to shuttle horses between Belmont and Aqueduct during racing days. Ron
  19. Your absolutely right Jim, always trying to re-invent the wheel! Ron
  20. Looking forward to seeing you too Vinny! This will be the last time you and your Papa will be allowed to come without the "sidewinder"!!! Ron
