  1. Flip it over on a slab, it would make an awsum garage. Except maybe in a thunder storm.
  2. Love the trailer, love the Pete too. Pretty much can haul anything with that rig, long deck and axled to the hilt. Must be 90+ feet? Escort?
  3. Thats a beauty, make a nice local haul truck. I can't believe how cheap some of this old iron is, though it hasn't met reserve, he might wants 60k.
  4. Signed up at Richie Bros, never thought of them, ebay, seems to be overpriced junk most of the time. Thanks for the tip.
  5. Looking for a decent 55 ton triaxle hydraulic rgn lowboy, flip 4th would be nice, deck 25,26 foot or longer . drop side or flat deck, Rogers,Talbert,Fontaine,Specialized,Etnyre, others, near new to older but good condition, it must travel daily. Doesn't have to have a pony motor. Thanks,Mark oversize_load@hotmail.com
  6. CLASSIC PICTURE, I thought only dogs liked to entertain people, cats just like the houses we live in.
  7. I'm still paying extra on my homeowners insurance for damage that happened to my first house 14 years ago from an ice storm. $1200.00 was the claim to fix drywall. My rates went up.. 6 years later after I sold the house and built this one, they asked if I ever made a claim? Yes 6 7 or 8 years ago. It doesn't matter, your rates will be higher. I asked how many more years I have to keep paying that 1200.00 back? they shrugged their shoulders, still paying. I don't make claims for anything anymore. Saving it for major catastrofe only. Isn't it crazy that we have to carry uninsured motorist. This country really isn't set up for the ones who try. Only the ones with nothing or the ones that have it all. Of course the ones that have it all can't get much out of the ones with nothing, so there you go.
  8. Thats the brain power I get up here in the shops @ $99.00 an hour. 1 hour = 37 minutes if you didn't know.
  9. What is the best removable goose neck or lowboy loadboard out there from experiance or hear say? thanks in advance
  10. Here is a link on a chip dump ramp at a paper mill going through it's cycle, it has been sped up so it's not boring. Here is a recent picture from a mill in Maine that had a slight hydraulic problem. It let go when it reached the top. The front axle went up through the engine, the bumper and the moose bumper just blew off,the doors peeled off, the tires blew out, glass broke, but not the windshield (strange),the trailer broke in two, it was pretty much scrap metal when it was over. I got the picture over a cell phone so it's not so good, but you can enlarge it a little.
  11. Thats a picture of one end of Pellitiers yard. They must sell them, I know they are building log trailers forsale too.
  12. I'm sitting here looking at the pictures and reading, going, Wow, Wow, Wow!!!!!. That is sweet. More pictures coming I hope, inside, all around?
  13. I believe the show is over, I think they are done filming up there. Pellitiers will probably have to pay for this one. The two Macks they had, they wrecked one twice and the other one once. I think those are totals.
  14. They load so wide, tall, long and heavy, if you turn the tractor over 45 degrees from the trailer, the trailer flops and drags the truck with it.
  15. Was just up to the garage today,Bangor Maine, trying to drain my bank account, doing pretty good at that, someone said the Pelletiers had a visit from Kenworth and they brought a brand new heavy spec demo , the Pelletiers went right ahead and flopped it over and demo'd how they do it so well . Later today I was told by another, he thought it was a new Cat truck, can't imagine a Cat since they don't have a big motor yet. ""
  16. Good luck to you, sounds like a win win.
  17. You all may have seen this, maybe some are in it, nice footage of vintage iron moving vintage iron on lowboys
  18. I never thought this would get like this in the Northeast, but there are too many granolla's moving up here. It used to be guns were for hunting, fists were for fighting. If a fight was going on in a bar parking lot, it was a fist fight, chances are both boys/men had guns in their trucks but those thoughts never crossed their minds, the loser got up, got in his truck and went home. Now I don't know what the youth are thinking anymore. What this guy did was what any mature capable gun handler would do. I see absolutly nothing wrong with what he did. He handled himself like a level headed citizen, someone you want in your neighborhood.
  19. No just one pos. one neg. that was one of the reasons I bought it. The cables were all ready there, nice big ones too, but just one set. My fridge is 12v and my lap top, printer and phone chargers are 12v so it's just the micro on the outlet. Almost got a 2500 but saw the 4 posts. An RV dealer up here has a brand new Norcold DC00740BB 12v w trim kit for 600.00 thats cost, if you know anyone that needs one, they run around 800.00 plus.Someone ordered it and never picked it up,grey color. Mine is on all the time, it doesn't run very often, nice fridge 1.7 cu ft.real compressor and quiet.
  20. That makes me feel better, now I'll have to see if the wave maker will come on tomorrow. Having 4 batteries and they read 11.9 v to 12v off, you would think it would at least work a little. The inverter never even kicked on the fans. I've been used to a 48" bunk, no micro, no fridge, short narrow bed, this is going to be a treat to be able to move, stand up, stretch out sleeping, and cook something if I get it figured out.
  21. The micro is a 700 watt so that should be fine, it says up to 1000 watt. I have been working on the truck for days and running power so the batteries would be down.I let it run for an hour tonight, but didn't try it after. I'm going to town in it tomorrow so it should charge up. Did your micro that spun both ways work as far as heating no matter what direction?
  22. They advertise it for being perfect for microwaves and tv's.Detailed Features The Cobra CPI 1575 inverter provides household power on the go! It converts battery power to 120 V AC household power, allowing you to power up office equipment and household appliances from your vehicle. This unit is ideal for appliances such as microwave ovens (1000 watts or less), coffeemakers, laptops, TV sets, video games, CD players, DVD players, cellular phone chargers and much more!
  23. Here's the story,2005 CXN613, neg. ground I asume? Wired a Cobra cpi 1575/3000 watt inverter under the sleeper, big cable, all stranded copper, pos. to pos, neg. to neg, grounded the inverter chassis to the cab chassis, ran heavy extension cords, to an electrical outlet, one cord to each plug and broke the piece out between the two female outlets so they won't feed each other. White wire to the larger slot, black wire to the smaller slot, green tied together and on the green screw. Each cord is plugged into the inverter in it's own outlet. That leaves one free plug for working ouside the truck.I plugged in the microwave (new) the clock works fine as does the light, fan, rotisserie plate, but no microwaves.Tryed the other plug, shutting off the power and turning it on. Nothing, except one weird thing, the rotisserie will run clockwise, then the next time it runs counter clockwise, just push stop/start. The microwave works great in the house, only turns clockwise and heats, my variable speed drill works fine in the truck and rotates the right direction always. HELP, any ideas?
