  1. Picked it up in Texas, it's a demo, the guy bought six. It's on its way to Arizona just below Phoenix for another demo. I've been sitting at the New Mexico Arizona line since Friday night, my NM permit ran out yesterday and AZ won't let 12 wide run till Monday without an escort. Then I have to deal with 7 to 9 am curfew in Tucson. Should unloaded after noon Monday and then I;m on the prowl again. A load to new england would be nice.
  2. Tim the tool man style mower, now if we can get it off the trailer. Cutting head on the bolsters, 19' or so. The two big wheels stear with brakes, the other two just flop around. 12' wide minus head. Do a job on a lawn, hedges, swing sets, lawn furniture neighbors fence. One picture looking north, I'm in NM 8 miles from the border. Border patroll is in and out alot, only store around.
  3. In the Mack world, that is what we call the V model.
  4. If she's got it on vibrate, she'll never answer a call.
  5. If yah don't have electricity yet, paper bags work well, don't use plastic, not safe, thats why the bag lady asks at the market, paper or plastic, bet yah didn't know that now did yah? Say paper and she'd go home with yah. Thats like a good pick up line.
  6. I'll have to read that when I get home. I was thinking of going newer. I love the cab of the Vision it is the same. Good to hear you guys are having good luck. Just a foot not, Texas is a Mack state, never seen so many.
  7. I had a broad with me, WalMart was the Ceialis stop, after the doc took me off viagra cuz of the ticker.
  8. Sit ups are good for your tetrapoids. Something I need to work on, but just sayin'.
  9. As I said, Last year I was stopped by the DOT and they looked at my log book, it was filled in but he said I should be more thorough with my detail. Well I happened to have my girlfriend along on this trip, so the next day a kept a thorough detail of my day. As you may asume it is a little fictitious but entertaining. I was hoping to get stopped again just to see the reaction but it never happened.
  10. I think real truck should smoke, not alot but a little brown or black. Mine doesn't smoke, maybe 10% injectors. Here a picture, I love the pictures, but I hate when you are on a 34 lay over and you get a fly in the cab.I would get a picture of him but I don't think he's got long. Yes thats snow in them there hills, It's dry, real dry, they say there was alot more snow last year at this time. Didn't have any pictures of the steep hills, I was holding on to the wheel and had my eyes closed.
  11. Welcome to the board and this group off ummmmmm, clowns!! My home away from home. Typed from the cab of a Mack in El Paso Texas, Hot, very hot.
  12. One of the finest sounding, best looking airplanes ever built. They had it up in Maine for part of the summer selling rides, damn expensive, I think it was 300.00 per person then went up alot, so never did it. Would sure love to. Enjoy the ride and the life long memory. I forgot what they said it took in fuel to take off, high test leaded gass, but it makes the ride sound pretty reasonable.
  13. Probably a little 300 horse 900 lb torque cummins. Looks like the utility line of truck, single axle small cab, the kind the phone, power company or box deliverys use.
  14. Check out this litte baby, this would go along good with the Kabota loader backhoe
  15. Looks like the same cab as the vision, if so, a vision sleeper should fit right on. If it has a jake, that would be a nice rig with a 70" sleeper and jake.
  16. I was climing one of the steep parts west bound, looked up the road and saw this truck going too fast, this was the results. Saw him upright , then up on the passanger side wheels then he went over. He slid a long ways. He stopped just below me. I was going to set up the video camera for the pull but didn't bother, wish I did. On the way down the back side I was geared down and doing 35, letting it rev to 1800 and then stab the brakes down to 1450 and let it go again. good old power leash engine brake, why can't they put a jake on Macks?. This left time for the brakes to cool. A Freightliner behind me had to pass, when he did the smoke was rolling off all his brakes steady. He had his foot on the brakes all the time I could see him. Guess he made it, didn.t see him in the woods. There were probably 3 semi's broke down and five cars just going over and down the big one in Denver. Made it to Aurora Utah, now sitting in Flagstaff, might head for Huston or Fortworth. No rgn loads out west. http://5280fire.com/?p=27400
  17. Never said they wern't crazy, every one of them, and tempers, thats not just folklore. But there are other places they excell too, and it's not cooking. Though it is kinda like playin' with fire. You know how the saying goes, "can't stand the heat, stick with blondes and brunetts" ........well...... it's a saying now.
  18. Just went through Pa. through Ill. now setting in Monroe Wi. few days too late.
  19. That statement is living proof you never had a real redhead.
  20. My gps keeps a log, hours on,off, driving, also keeps miles by state, toll miles and non toll miles for fuel tax. Just plug it into the laptop and download the files. I plug it in now and then to update it, any changes in speed limits, construction, what ever, it loads that. Rand McNally 700, it also posts what page and what line you are on on their maps. Does all kinds of stuff. Don't want a goverment run log book. All set there.
  21. I took last week off, wasn't thinking. On the plus side, less competition bidding if I can stay on the road. Those hogs good eating or too tough?
  22. Went through one weigh station today, they are really going at it. Lined up out into the highway and the parking lot was full of trucks going through class 1 inspections. Went through on the green and stopped 20 miles down the road at a nice truck stop. The wreckers were coming in one after another dropping off tractor trailer that were red flagged. They dropped them and then they parked. Some were reefers. The wrecker services were making a killing and will be the next couple days. Can't imagine any other job that you get harrassed as much as trucking. It is a constant thing. They are after the log books too, new rule, 1/2 hour break after 8 hrs, don't forget.
  23. My pto controll on the Pete was beside the drivers seat when you opened the door, very handy since you could push the clutch with your left hand and flip the pto with the right. Bad because you would jump in and forget it, untill you realized you can't be that bad at shifting gears. If I were to mount it there I would put the red light on the dash. My pto switch now is just an electric flip switch on the dash with a gaurd, it's to the right of the wheel. You have to get in and out to use the pto, but you sure see the red light. Combine the two and you would have the best of both worlds. Rest area, I 87 Ny.
  24. It looks like Squidward. Doesn't it Vinny.
