  1. Went in 6AM got home 1AM. We got about 7 inches. Rob
  2. Berubes deal with Grand Rock and they have all sorts of stacks that will work for that truck.
  3. Nice lugger or skip depending what part of the world you are from. Rob
  4. How the hell are you supposed to see to operate the machine without hitting something. What is the unit inside the front bucket Ryan?
  5. Yea I think a dedicated salter would be better than the auger type on the gate of the truck. One year They caught the power lines and fiber optics on top of RT17 Northbound in U Saddle River by the Quick Check.
  6. The other morning in the beginning of the week. They were salting and he hit one of the bridges on 17 up by me. Closed the road for a while. That's the second one they wrecked this year.
  7. We've never done that. I guess they think it's cheaper to have us go out and make a round. The Ridgewood NJ salt barn is very small. They run out all the time. In fact last storm when it was so cold we just dumped it on the ground and they kept loading the salt trucks.
  8. On what Adoni's truck?. I think Gerbal was more upset they didn't stop. I guess you know about Breen laying one over on 17 the other day after he hit the bridge,
  9. No Joe Gill who knows Mike Adoni. Mike told him that today. Reel the other day 18 trucks were escorted to Atlantic City from Hackensack to get one load of salt to Ridgewood. As reel said only when they are low and they send us to other state barns to get it. The last strom we went all the way to Wantage NJ towards High Point for one load. .
  10. I keep hearing things on this so called monster storm for next week. I'm assuming I will be plowing. Mr Hancock we were supposed to haul dirt from one end of Newburgh to Salsbury Mills by the load.
  11. Now you're famous Ryan.
  12. Reel I just heard the Allendale Ave to Fairview Ave crew just got called out for 6 AM tomorrow to do a round of salt from Newark state yard to bring to Ridgewood.
  13. Yep. I'm supposed to fill in tomorrow and drive my old truck and work in Newburgh. Might be cancelled. Drizzling here in Hillburn for a few hours. Washed the International to get the salt off of her.
  14. Those Intercounty trucks originally had 12r24.5 on the rears. Maybe somebody swapped them out already. As far as trouble with getting tube type big rubber it just told to me in Jersey guys were having some issues. Maybe on the Island there are still more heavy tandems running around. Not so much in Jersey as the norm is 12r24,5's. Rob
  15. I don't think that's going to be a problem with what they are saying supposd to be a heavy February. Gerbil is not aloud back on that crew. They couldn't take him. He says they never stop for coffee or take a dinner break. Joey didn't put the CB in the new Granite the last storm. Silence for now.
  16. It's about time you reappeared. I see your cousin in your Dm every storm on the Allendale crew. I almost sent Gerbal and Joe Gill home the last storm for not playing nice together. I gotta get a pic of your truck in action maybe tomorrow or Tuesday if we get this shit.
  17. This is an old Intercounty Paving truck. Same specs as the old MT. Hope trucks. When I worked for H and H, Victor(can't remember his last name) was the fleet manager for Mt, Hope. He told me that combination with the 12r24.5 rears and the tube type 12r24's front was the best combination they found. I'm not sure what they based it on but all of the tandems and tri axles came through like that. Good luck trying to find big tube rubber. Everybody is having trouble. Rob
  18. Pic Speed pic.
  19. I had to borrow a tool from Leslie today and asked him if he had any old pics of his previous trucks. Much to my shock he doesn't have many he can remember but he had this one. A little rough shape but a good pic.I tried to clean it up a bit. Rob
  20. You knew I was going to have some Internationals in my Collection.
  21. That's sad I've seen his photo stream on Flickr. RIP Bill. Rob
  22. I like R model tankers. Thanks for sharing.
  23. Big machines.
  24. Very good article. Thanks for sharing. As my dad told me the other day from his house in Santee, SC, he wasn't worried about the weather as far as driving in it it was everybody else he didn't trust. Rob
  25. Mark I remember Carretta's trucks as a kid since I'm from Paramus as well. Ryan some pics would be cool of those JCB;s. I only saw one once on a trailer.
