  1. I like the R because it's cozy. But the room in a CL/CH is nice. I agree the old CH dashes were retarded. The new layout is much improved. For our dump truck applications in our area of Jersey/tri state area the R cab had just enough room for you and your personal shit. Bring in a passenger and you were screwed. LOL! I had everything in just the right place but if somebody jumped in my space it was mayhem. Cheers, Rob
  2. Propaganda to reinforce a socialist agenda.
  3. I like the RB and the DM mixer on spread. Rob
  4. Here BC this is what I came up with. Telmo Truck Parts/ Abreu Truck Repair Newark NJ (973) 824-1415. Also I think he is TRMA Waste Hauling. He's got a 143 lowboy tractor and a hot T Series race truck. The R Series was pretty new. Somebody has a pic somewhere of that I'm sure. Did you try up by you? There is a owner operator from Ontario I believe that is running two R Series? or slightly older cabovers. I saw him on the NJ Turnpike one day flying past me. Cheers, Rob
  5. I will find his business name. He always goes to Englishtown every year with a bunch of Scanias. He had 164 there and he had a white R series cabover there 6x2. I know he does all of the conversions of the old 113's that were here in the US and making them into dump trucks.
  6. Aren't new trucks already blowing near zero now with emissions?
  7. Scania is top of the line in the UK and very expensive. The Brits highly regard Scania.
  8. Looks like an ex Bruno truck.
  9. This guy in Newark NJ specializes in Scania and is importing parts for the Portugese (spelling) dump truckers and is also bringing in 141 and 146 Scania trucks and the big V8 engines. Cheers, Rob
  10. Nice. Twin stacks with rain caps. Ha I rhymed.
  11. Yea that was John. I remember I was a kid it was 1979 and John was running his original black and green Autocar with his father. They were running with Iron Horse who had two brand new DM 800's and a bunch of other local legends from my area. They were hauling bank run from a new house down the street from me in Paramus. I used to ride my bike and just hang out and watch them. That was the first time I met him he was probably 19 or 20 then. To think years later I would be trucking with him on jobs.
  12. Of course beautiful truck. 300 plus with Dynatard, quad box and 55 or 58 rears. John used this truck for a while for daily use but then bought the 87 Autocar from Gennaro trucking that sat in a garage and only had 20 or 30 thousand miles on her and it was over 10 years old then. Cheers, Rob
  13. I have dual intake tubes on my R it has the ENDT676 @ 283 hp. I like the big dual element air cleaners. Cheers, Rob
  14. Thanks.
  15. Sorry Maddog this is John Mauro's B from Fairview NJ. He sold this to Bobby Capello from Mahwah NJ. Bobby repainted it because he said it wasn't shiny enough. Cheers, Rob
  16. I'm not a big fan of cabs either. On an excavator yes on a backhoe eh. Nice for the winter though as we all know there is nothing colder than sitting on a machine with the wind howling. I was brought up on open cabs so maybe I'm a glutton for punishment. Cost did come into play between the 410 to 310. I like the 590 Case. It has an heavier ass end than the 580. I have to move my friends 580 tomorrow to New Windsor NY. I'm going to get my 63 up and running. I just have to service it and put the points kit in her. I would really like to fix the valve body for the hoe. It sinks down and it's in there not the cylinders.
  17. Put a T318 in instead. Better than the 2180. Cheers, Rob
  18. Yep.
  19. Thank you for this find 84 I am getting ready to blow the mice out of my R model and get her started. I will be needing some stuff in the near future. Cheers, Rob
  20. You know you get nervous loading a truck. You can do a lot of damage quick. Slpwlker 450 Hitachi is a big machine too. Not bad running I was surprised how the smaller machines and bigger machines are basically the same except for the size issue.
  21. That's why he didn't buy the 410. The 310 was the better choice. I don't even want to see it tomorrow. I was in Saratoga at SPAC for the RUSH concert so I was away for two days. His Mexican operator is a good production man. If you tell him to build that wall or dig that trench 1/2 mile he'll get it done but finesse is not his strong point. They are digging against a large commercial building down to the footing drains to redo the drainage and it's against a hill so I will see what damage tomorrow he has done. I do dig the beefiness of the backhoe. Cheers, Rob
