  1. Neat! We had a Massey Ferguson dozer I guess the same size as a 350. Had manual steering in it with a four way blade. Cheers, Rob
  2. Too hot for them.
  3. The biggest excavator I ever ran was the PC400 loading shot rock in the tri axle I used to drive. Cheers, Rob
  4. We'll see if the machine will last with these animals.
  5. The Hayes were always interesting with the gauges above you. Cheers, Rob
  6. Clean.
  7. She's gotta make money doing something I guess. It's amazing how you can make money out of marketing yourself and not from any particular skill or talent. Things have certainly changed in this world. Cheers, Rob
  8. I really like this International also. I never met the man but his equipment speaks volumes of him. Cheers, Rob
  9. That's what they are going to do with the old stuff price it so high that nobody will buy it and phase it out. I have the same problem with my International everything is discontinued or special order. Sometimes I get lucky and they will have new old stock. It is what it looks like. Cheers, Rob
  10. Thanks.
  11. Can't put a Jake on a DTA 466 so that's why I have the Blue OX. You're right the exhaust brake builds back pressure. Oh I also on the first rebuild put heavier valve springs in her.
  12. I am trying to get some pics of Iron Horse Construction from Oakland NJ. I know the owner but not real close. My friend who I rent my yard from is best friends with him. He runs two 85 DM 800's with Bristol Donalds with 12 panel gates and has a Superliner tractor that just turned 100,000 miles and is like brand new. Has a 350, 12 speed 52 rears and dual stacks. He pulls a 35 ton lowboy with her. I think it is a 89 or 90 not real sure. Mack blue with red frames. Cheers, Rob
  13. I hate butterfly exhaust brakes. When my Blue OX wore out I found out that Williams went out of business but didn't know Brake Systems had bought them out. I wound up putting a BD exhaust brake on. What a POS!. Had to modify the crap out of it to get it to do something and then eventually it got all carboned up and broke. Went back last year put a new revised Blue Ox on her. Works very well. About as good as a good Dynatard. Give me guillotine style any day. Simple, self cleaning and reliable. Cheers, Rob
  14. Still think you are shacking up with them swamp donkeys.
  15. Could be where the seams were and they heaved up with the frost. They did that on the Quickway from Goshen NY to Chester then milled it afterward to get a consistent grade.
  16. I agree a lost art in buying/owning and being able to use a map. I actually had a lot of trouble trying to buy maps for my areas I work in. Cheers, Rob
  17. I love love love the Mik Mak or Ali Arc bullbar on the Superliner. Cheers, Rob
  18. Welcome to the Island of misfit toys. Oh and pics please. Cheers, Rob
  19. The Telmas are very expensive. There is a guy from Newark who is installing another brand of electro retarder and had a Granite at Englishtown with it on. I think this guy also runs dump trucks too. Maybe Reel can add to this. I remember back in 97-98 when at Mack they were at least $5,000.00 then. I would think if I was doing heavy haulage or heavy timber I would want two systems. I don't like to do brakes. I put my Blue Ox on in 88 and had the same front brakes on for 20 years. I know the fronts aren't doing as much but I thought that was pretty good.
  20. We need a pic.
  21. Good question. Need Tim's opinion for that one. Rob
  22. I thought they were. I know when I worked for H And H Mack we became a Telma dealer. You could have put the electro magnectic on her. But I think the Pac Brake and Dynatard is pretty cool. Rob
  23. I agree you had to keep the Dynatard dialed in or even just a little tighter. The same for the Jake too you had to maintain them. Cheers, Rob
  24. And where you were going to put the pepperoni.
