  1. Don't take it literal. More tongue and cheek. As I was saying you have to be a special person with a shop and the will and resources for some of this iron. If I had a shop to put something in the corner to work on I would do it.
  2. I believe it goes to the trans to dump cool air on it. I've also seen dual ones and the other one goes towards the rears. Cheers, Rob
  3. Logtruckman has some good points. So does KC. Though he is a mystery.
  4. Looks like a turkey to me. Some of you guys that have the shops and room for this stuff it isn't a big deal to do a project like that. I can't even look at something like that. I have enough antiques. Cheers, Rob

You know this might make a turn around as a lot of the third world countries are making more money and their people are making more money so it is costing companies more to make their products. There are people that want higher quality and are willing to pay a little more (me being one of them as that's how I was raised) and you are starting to see some of that movement. I mean still a minority but I think people are getting a little tired of cheap junk that doesn't last. Cheers, Rob
  6. Great looking stripes! Cheers, Rob
  7. Tim did you guys tar and chip the road after it was paved to seal it? It kind of looks like it in the pic with the lowboy. Rob
  8. Blow the pic up it's Mack walking beam. Rob
  9. Nice Brigadier. Those look like drainage rings for run off I'm presuming. I don;t think they are septic. Cheers, Rob
  10. I like your Criuseliner. Welcome. Post pics. Somebody I'm sure can help you. Cheers, Rob
  11. Wow steel hood and on walking beam. Beastly. Cool truck buts makes my ass pucker just thinking about her riding empty. Cheers, Rob
  12. Years ago Volvo had a version of the WG that had a more mdium spec with a Volvo engine with exhaust brake and a Volvo 8 or 9 speed in her, Cheers, Rob
  13. Happy Birthday deuce!
  14. Cool pics. Beastly machine. Rob
  15. I love it when everybody agrees what time they are going back for the last load with 5-10 minutes apart from each other and then instead of 2:30 for the first truck he goes back at 2 and throws everybody into panic mode. Anyway more power even for an auto.
  16. This day and age when you get to a job and it's by the load and your boss says you gotta do 7 in 8 hours and you know it really is a 5 load day getting up and going is a little paramount. Trust me when I tell you I have been on my share of those. It's not like it was years ago when everybody got to the job with their tandems which were all DM's, RD'S and Autocars and everybody was friends and the first conversation was how many loads are we doing and where are we stopping for coffee and when for lunch and how much time to kill before you went back for your last load. Those days are done. In my area the Olley's and Wallace's took care of that. I shouldn't name drop but I speak from the truth and I'm friends with them. Cheers, Rob
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. I agree especially with the diesel.
  19. 300 in a tri axle is gonna be tough. Usually 400 and up if you want to get something done in the course of a day. An Allison also unless you live in Florida where it is flat she is going to be slow going. Just my opinion. Cheers, Rob
  20. 01 460's were freakin dogs. (no pun intended). That's what I ran for Gulino in the tri axle had to do a lot of changes to get her running better. Cheers, Rob
  21. Right I think anybody on this board is genuine and willing to help each other. But in business generally things are different now. I don't trust the economy one bit or most of my competitors. Cheers, Rob
  22. You can't discuss jobs or what's coming up anymore or discuss shop. Next thing you know you lost the job to somebody else at a lower rate and promising more.
  23. That's a great experience and the way things used to be especially in the dump trucking community. Not so much today. Cheers, Rob
