  1. Looks good. I Iike round air horns. My air horn on my R model was shot so I put a new Grover stutter tone fire truck air horn on. I like the length. Looks better. Rob
  2. I don't think it looks bad. The body is big but there are a lot of Bristol Donalds around by me that are tall versions like that. I wouldn't want to fill it up with dirt though.LOL
  3. See I told you. That's about right if you were to go to Lembo or somebody it would be at least 20 grand. The cab shield on the B81 you could reconfigure it and bring it down some and still have the look of the Bristol Donald. Some of those pics you guys were posting of those older DM's had huge cab shields on them. I love the one pic of the Rizzo truck and you can see the bogies and even with the big rubber the bogies have spread on them. Breen from Hackensack down here had a bunch of DM's from Kentucky that had 58 rears, big rubber and spread on the bogies. It was cool. Cheers,, Rob
  4. You need to call I know that's what my old boss did. They tell you how to figure it and you send in the form with your info and they tell you what you are allowed to carry.
  5. Breen and Verniero did a bunch with Sanchez.
  6. To build a heavy body like what is on the old Rizzo truck would be big bucks. Would look awesome and I would do it if I had the means. The last heavy body when I drove for L.Demarino was on his newest RD in 99 and that was a Bristol Donald 14.5 ft with all 1/4 inch T1 with an 8 panel 3/8's gate no heat full cab shield. It was over $20,000.00 then. Of course I don't know what you are going to do with it you could get away with mild steel if it's for show. Lembo is in Newark NJ, So is Bristol Donald. Also you have Steelfab in Paterson NJ. I'm sure somebody in New England can build something similar. Cheers, Rob
  7. A working pic from the other day. Cheers, Rob
  8. Cool Paystar with the classic factory paint. Rob
  9. Nice. I like Superliner tandems.
  10. I agree with you.
  11. Jersey guys that run into NY have to get the overweight permit. The tri axle I drove for Gulino I was allowed 20 ton and his tandem was allowed 19 ton. I know he had to give them a bunch of measurements and capacity of axles, wheelbase, size of tires etc and they told him what the permit would be good for. Cheers, Rob
  12. That's probably a touch high in price but it looks like it is in good shape.
  13. We have a ton of Scanias running in northern Jersey as a lot of them were converted to dump trucks. There is a company in Newark that imports a lot of parts and I also see a few larger Scania 144's sometimes. Rob
  14. I like it.
  15. I'm having that problem now but I also think I am sucking a little air somewhere. Time for a starter they get slower after a while and time to check alternator and batteries.
  16. Happy Birthday!

  19. The BC is a rare truck. It was fun to drive. A welder that was our neighbor has it now and uses it as a farm truck. I have a pic of the all wheel drive Ford somewhere. My father would pull all of the machines with the BC as it was short with the 9 ton tag hooked to it.
  20. Yea especially when you see them all beat up or missing. It was something different at the time since the Jersey trucks really didn't put those on. When you were a kid and the only truck show around was Englishtown it was kind of cool to see trucks done up like that. Cheers, Rob
