  1. His trailer is fairly new and VP said he could probably add a flip up fourth axle. I just thought that would suck too where he has to go all the time.
  2. Either way it has to be a self steering axle. Your right he would have to modify the goose neck on the trailer. A back tag might be the best option.
  3. Cool what are the specs of his new one? I see a U700 in the background.
  4. Nice and it looks to be in good shape.
  5. Very cool and they look in good shape. Rob
  6. In agree with you. Always go in like a sleeper. When you're younger you go in guns a blazin and you take your lumps and you figure it out. At least some people do. Cheers, Rob
  7. It doesn't. It's trying to find the lesser evil of his options. He has to change his set up to haul his bigger machines as per the weight laws of NY. VP is going to be screwed either way no matter what he does with his area. Maybe like Sleepwalker said a steerable rear tag would turn good kind of like what they do in Europe on their 6x2's.
  8. Also a thought his goose neck isn't going to be long enough if he puts that pin on tag to the rear. VP's business is excavating and he probably moves machines many times a week so having to pin on and off all the time as opposed to just having the setup permanent I would think would be better so he is ready for any type of haul. I could see the pin on unit for like what sleepwalker does when you are set up for a specific haul over a distance like these Canadians are doing.
  9. He should really just do the traditional setup around our area with the steerable lift in the front of the tandems. The area VP is in sucks ass for getting around. I've seen the rear tag with steerable. The add on rear tag on Hudson's truck I've seen quite often here in my area with the Canadians coming up from the ports into NY state with heavy haul. I had some pics somewhere. There are a lot of companies from Quebec that have that and they have to stop in Hillburn to get cleared from the NY state troopers to go ahead. Sometimes they are there for a couple of days parked up. Cheers, Rob
  10. Hmmm there was that fleet from New Brunswick? They had a bunch of Generals. I can picture the fleet in head. It's only the useless info I reme mber not the important stuff.
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. All the 8LL's do that at some point.
  13. I like Superliners either way.
  14. Yea I bet. Does it snow there? Which part is this South or North? It's opposite right?
  15. Yea all my money on booze. My friend who graduated with me his younger brother was a drummer and he was chaperoning and every time the bus would stop for a tour off we went to the pub for a pub lunch and pints and shots.
  16. That Ford was a beast. There ere a few of them in our area years ago. They were cheaper than the Macks and Autocars which were very expensive back then from what I was told. Len blew a rear in her and had a lot of trouble trying to find one because they were obsolete. When I rode in that truck when I was 6 or 7 you could eat off of that floor.
  17. I remember these.
  18. Dude I love this truck. I need a clearer pic when you see it again awsome. Cheers, Rob
  19. You have a video on you tube right?
  20. Makes me a little nervous when they load you with the 988. The truck is like a matchbox car next to it.
  21. It sucks that you go to the hospital and can pick up stuff worse than what you went in for in the first place. It blows my mind with our health care sometimes. Hopefully everything turns out well for you Mike. Cheers, Rob
  22. So this would be the mechanical 400 with a Dynatard I'm assuming. I ran a RD tandem that had a 400 mechanical and 12 speed. Was a lowboy tractor made into a dump.
  23. In my case the truck is long and the trailer is long. Rob
  24. Yea you never know and the day you don't have the camera that's when you see something good.
