  1. That's even better my favorite trans. RFC
  2. Yea Tim a real problem with these motors. When International bored out the 6.9 it made everything thin. Cheers, Rob
  3. Happy Birthday!!
  4. 6.9 is a good motor. The 7.3 is just the 6.9 bored out. That's why you have to be careful with cavitation with the 7.3's. Make sure you put the additive in the water. Cheers, Rob
  5. I still believe anything over 33,000lbs you pay the 12% FET. I can't see how unless your calling it municipal somehow. Cheers, Rob
  6. I was in East Hanover at Novartis working on site for James Construction driving for L. Demarino. I was chilling in my truck with a tape in the radio and my wife calls me and says" do you have the radio on?" and with that we got cut off. About 5 minutes later everybody on the site just stopped. Everybody refused to work and then they sent all of us out because they were afraid of bombings of the pharmacy facilities. Makes you wonder what else these places are making. That night Kevin Breen called Leslie because Fletcher Creamer .called for as many dump trucks as he could get. We were going to go in on the weekend but by then it just became a money making deal with the top four companies that do all of the work for the city and the unions. Sanzari and Creamer were only there for the week and they got kicked out. Breen's drivers only did one load a night and all of the guys came home with headaches. Cheers, Rob
  7. Funny story about the S And S B Model I posted back a ways. Honestly this truck was gorgeous and a great restoration. It was in 91 at Englishtown and we had already set up our parking with the International. So this guy shows up later with this B Model and backs it in and says to me " can you move your truck over because people are going to want to take pictures of my truck" he wasn't very pleasant either. So he sets up his fancy sign he had painted and all of his bullshit and a strong wind came and shattered his fancy signs. He still took best dump even though it was a trailer queen. Cheers, Robert
  8. Jersey did it for the lowboys and heavy haulers but they haven't hit bridge formula yet for tandems and triaxles. I posted about the steerable axles with NY. Any truck built after 06 has to have a steerable tag axle and the pressure regulating gauge and valve has to be on the outside of the truck. The lift valve can be on the inside but they don't want you to mess with the pressure. I think it has to be around 60 lbs. I know NY if you get caught raising it in a turn you get weighed as a tandem. Before I worked for Gulino his other driver got popped in the Bronx at Tilcon by Hunts Point. He didn't drop his axle until he made the turn coming out of their yard. It was a 10,000.00 fine and the judge wouldn't even budge. Cheers, Rob
  9. It's had some sheet metal replaced. The bed is next. Putting a steel flatbed on it. A small fuel tank and some boxes. Rob
  10. Pic I took today of the old girl. Cheers, Rob
  11. Mark I remember seeing that ferry and yacht. RFC
  12. Nice Freightliner.
  13. That's good FWD less accidents with the trucks when there is a call on a Sunday with everybody in the bar. Hillburn bought a Pierce combination pumper rescue in fact they had to shorten it 12 inches or it had to be a tandem. Anyway very expensive rig at $800.000.00 and in two years they have had three accidents with it. I have enough stress at work. Cheers, Rob
  14. Hold on to that 1954 not many decent ones around any more. Tim that Chevy was also an odd duck back then also. Not many crew cabs.
  15. The whole rig went to Russia? Wow.
  16. Any decent heavy tandem from Jersey right now the guys want quite a bit of money for. Rob
  17. This was a few years ago when I specced that Granite. They may have more options now but that was the deal then if I wanetd the 30,000 rear I had to go Rockwell Meritor. Rob
  18. You know in 89 that type of pickup was an oddity in Bergen county. Not many guys had one. I gotta think. I know I saved 3 grand going to Breakey. I remember, $22,000.00 no money down $400.00 per month. That was a lot of money back then. I'll take a new pic today. Mack1928 those trucks are in really good shape. The green 1954 looks similar to mine. I guess the 2500 has a DT in it?. That Chevy is in good shape. Cheers, Rob
  19. JT 396 or 454 in the Chevelle? Cheers, Rob
  20. That's a cool in action pic Paul. Cheers, Robert
