  1. Some pics of the tri axle I drove for Joe. 01 RD688SX 460, had originally the 2110B 10 speed with shiftable reverse, second trans I loathed. This was the trans that Mack came out with for a little while to replace the 12 speed. Piece of crap. Was too high geared in 1st and 1st reverse. Later on they came out with the 10 speed east shift which I think is a little better. Joe put a T318 in her which changed the whole truck. This was originally a Sanchez truck. It has 52 rears, 20 on tag and 18 front. Joe put 425's on front and tag and 12r's on rears. Also couldn't keep synchros in her no matter how you drove her so the change to the 18 was the way to go. Cheers, Rob
  2. So classic the red one. RFC
  3. That's what we used to see at H And H when we were changing all of those housings. Where was I going to put them all. My parts manager would never tell me until Pitt Ohio came in the morning and I had five or six pallets of these at a time. Crazy job but good experience. Cheers, Rob
  4. It's a nice orange not too bright. RFC
  5. Yea BC Nynehead books looks like the best dealer for books. I don't really know of many US dealers with as much variety. I think Dover was where I took the Hovercraft across to Calais with my grandparents on one of my trips to the UK. That was an interesting day trip. Cheers, Rob
  6. Happy Birthday!! Rob
  7. A lot of guys ran F Model Macks and the Volvo f88 and the Ford Transcontinentals with Cummins in them. I want ti get those two books that are out on the trucking to the Middle East. Cheers, Rob
  8. I like those visors. I bought a stone guard for my international from New Zealand. The only problem is it is for the wide cab S Series. At some point I will have it narrrowed down and re powder coated. Cheers, Rob
  9. Cool I have that issue. Rob
  10. All very cool. BC running to the Middle East back then must of been some adventure. I've read some things on that. Those guys had some balls running those distances and going through the terrain and dealing with the different cultures. Cheers, Rob
  11. I love the ERF too BC.If you look close you can see the Jake Brake decal on the sleeper window. I'm guessing a Cummins since I know a lot of ERF 's had them. I saw that post today too on Big Lorry Blog.I like British lorries. My mom is from the UK and I still have family over there. I guess that makes me a hybrid or a half ass! LOL Cheers, Rob
  12. I started subscribing in 98 so I have quite a few. Very expensive though to subscribe overseas. The really old issues were probably pretty cool with the naked pinup girls in them. Of course the trucks too. Cheers, Rob
  13. Very cool Tim. I used to subscribe to NZ Truck And Driver, Truckin Life (AU), and I still get Trucking from the UK. I have too many mags If you are interested I could ship some of them up to you as they might wind up in the trash. Cheers, Rob
  14. Love the scenery. Check out my thread I posted it was geared towards you. Cheers, Rob
  15. Englishtown. Cheers, Rob
  16. 12 speed with the extended range on the stick! I never liked the newer 12's with the switch on the dash. Was always a pain in the ass moving stick flipping switch no hands on the steering wheel. If I had a 12 today I would move it to the stick. That truck is in good shape. Cheers, Rob
  17. I know when I worked at H and H there was some talk about trucks being stolen and I was told if you take a truck and cut it in half of course properly so you can slide a rail and put back together that it was considered used truck parts then and would be stuffed into a container. Probably a lot of stolen stuff went this way by way of Port Newark on its way to Central America or other ports of call. Cheers, Rob
  18. Here you go Tim some Macks and other rigs from New Zealand and Oz. The F models and Kenworth TD and Lendrich Kenworth were post cards I had bought from a dealer at Englishtown many years ago. The other ones were just regular photos I had bought. Cheers, Rob
  19. It would be cool to import an R Model or a Superliner from Down there. I wonder what it involves. Cheers, Rob
  20. That's great. That is a rare bird there in this day and age. Cheers, Robert
  21. Cool R models. Cheers, Rob
  22. Yea right Lmack 2 1/2 inch stone has a lot of air in it so it always looks like you have swinging load on. Also no point to have big bodies if you can't haul the weight. Cheers, Rob
  23. Happy Birthday!!
