Looks like a good time was had. I see the Navy version of the PT-17 Stearman. I flew the Army version with blue fuselage at Creve Coure Airport in Saint Louis, Mo. back in 2000. They called it the washing machine because being the first trainer for WW2 student pilots, alot of these students washed out before they could move on to the more complex trainer like the AT6 Texan. Looks like a Supermarine Spitfire in one of your photo's with five blades. If you have the time and funds, try to attend the Kermit Weeks Museum in Polk City, FL. called Fantasy of Flight Museum. It is well worth the trip. I flew down to Orlando and rented an auto for a week trip. A WW2 weekend of some B24's were intertaining us. I like hearing those radials startup with there loppy idle. mike

I'm also sorry for your loss. I was not ready to give my father up Oct.30th 2008 at 11:33 p.m. I had gone home from the nursing home to get some sleep. As soon as I got in bed a nurse called and told me it was time to come back. By the time I got their he was gone. I miss him every day, he was my best friend. It seems like a different colder world without him. Mom also is not the same. They had 62 years together and now she is lost without him. mike

You have posted a B Model cab in your photo. B cabs were smaller than the L cab. Some people like the more rounded look of the B such as I do, but both have their pros and cons etc. etc such as the B cab that is concave. As you further advance, you will know the differences. If you will concentrate on getting the frame number, door, engine you will gain more and more knowledge of what your truck is all about. If you get the door plate vin # then call the Mack Museum and donate a few bucks and your rewards will be mailed to you for your truck. I'm not home at this time or I would look up the phone number of the museum so you can call them. mike

Everyone has a set limit on what they feel they can purchase and sometimes these things can be bought from someone that needs to part out their truck to make a profit better than selling the whole truck. First thing is welcome and have a good time here at BMT and with your truck. I first would see if you have a VIN Plate on the lower section of the inside passenger door. Next, I would search for the number of your frame by looking straight in toward your front spring perch.It is at the rear of the spring on the side of the frame. Sometimes dirt and rust can hide this number. mike

Tom, G/F came over the house this pm and carried me to her house to play on the computer. While seeing your scout I recall my g/f and her identical twin sister had a 1970 2 door scout they drove to school. I just now went out while she's mowing the yard to ask her what color it was. She said it was orange and white. Her dad owned a small International Truck dealership in Gallatin, TN duing that time and finally sold it to what is now Kyle International in Nashville. I remember the glasses cause I had some of those myself. They were popular in the 60's and 70's. Everthing was rosy then. LOL mike

The best way to check it is, get someone to waterhose it down in the area and watch it under the dash. Sometimes we get lucky this way. mike
