  1. Hey Mark, It looks like a screamer. LOL If ya get into trouble out there, we'll send Rob to help you out. Oh yea, the Obama Administration is doing away with the word GAY in all american books so we don't offend anyone. GOOD LUCK mike
  2. I guess we'll get a drout next after all this rain.

  3. Ya might want to put out an ad in the Classifieds here or the fastest way is to find a truck salvage yard and measure yours or what may fit between your frame rails. Mine still has this setup and has straps that hold it in with two bolts. Regards mike
  4. About the same as I would have said to him. These trucks were pulling shorter single axle trailers, even when a bulldozer was on them. They did what was thrown at them and did their jobs well with what they had. Got to go mike
  5. Rob, What about that Gantry Crain ya bought? Want it lift what ya need done? mike
  6. Hi Bob, I just now have purchased a set from Ryder FleetProducts.com and are as close to the originals that I could find. They have a universal set that the braces can be adjusted and they have an identical set with no adjustments. Only the mirror can be adjusted. The person I talked with was Allen Richardson, and he was very helpful. The braces have 3 holes for mounting to the doors. The phone # 1-800-759-6479 Ext. 2669 The part#R47 603862 is for the adjustable and for one door. The cost each door was $81.44 I hope this helps. mike
  7. Thanks Men, for helping out when needed. I had not seen this posting from Barry. I brought my MOTOR'S Manual to work this morning to take a zerox copy of the info needed, but this is much faster. Thanks Barry mike
  8. Just wondered if 4" 90 degree chrome elbows can still be bought? I need two 90's and will use flexable pipe to connect the header pipe.

  9. When I go home tonight i'll get my manuel, but it may be tomorrow night before I can post it. If I can get someone's help in posting. mike
  10. Sounds like you may want to keep that truck. It would be a good thing if you could hook up a heavy load to it. It could help that engine build some useful heat, and burn some carbon away. mike
  11. Jocko, One Hundred and Fifty foot pounds of Torque. Do you have a manual? If not, can someone post the torque specs. for Jocko? I would if I knew how. I don't have a scanner. I also borrow a computer at my g/f house. Thanks mike
  12. Mighty Nice truck. Someone cared for that one. I just noticed no aircleaner housing on the passenger side. This is the first gas B Model i've seen. Watts Truck Center has the weather stripping on this web-site if interested. mike
  13. When you find out how to change that toilet seat, will you pass the instructions over to me? I just remembered i've got to change one at my moms house. I didn't know that I was in the same situation as someone else until now. Like Rob said about the lifting of weight. Usually I wake up with something hurting, take Advil for several days or go to the massage therapis. mike
  14. I heard that. Even the chrome looks shineier, the faster ya go. Funny thing is.....your B Model passed that corvette like it was sitting still, if anyone noticed. mike
  15. Hey Jesse, Thats waaaaaay too sick. It was going way too fast for me to see it clearly. It looked like a streak or blur. Keep her going, and thanks for the view. mike
  16. Good looking trucks. Congratulations for having grown up in the area you want to make a career at. Also welcome to BMT site. mike
  17. Seems like someone is selling an H Model Mack in the latest issue. I've been a member only 2 years now and enjoy the magazine. If I had a 2005 issue, would be glad to send it to ya. Regards mike
  18. Thanks Mark for the heads up on the Museum. I especially would like to see the WWII Army Truck. In my new ATHS Book I recently recieved, someone has three 6 bys. I believe one is a 1942. My dad talked about their outfit having Diamond T's pulling their equipment. To this day I still don't know what a Diamond T looked like during the war. I'm used to seeing more Dodges and GMC's that came back from that war. I do recall at the Huntsville ATHS Show, an Army truck that was restored to perfection. It's getting rare to find these trucks. The UPS driver that comes to our building has a couple of Korean War trucks. He is involved in reenacting. I just wonder where these guys find the equipment. I enjoy looking the Army Surplus stores, but have not seen any WWII equipment for probably 20 years or longer. mike
  19. Spent the day cleaning up the grease and old paper rags around and under my truck. Also took off the 4"exhaust. Now ready to take off the header pipe and exhaust manifold.

  20. Atleast I haven't been denatured. I recall the summer of 87 when I was scrapping the old paint from the windows of my house. Up until then, I would not wear shorts outside or inside the house. Well,I was on my ladder when the lady next door came up the driveway in her car, spotted me on the ladder. She made sure she was going slow enough. Big smile on her face ,so she stops. Rolls the window down and hollers out to me and said, at least you have one good leg and it is longer than the other two. I then turn around and got down from the ladder and go into my house, terribly embarrassed. To this day I do not wear shorts. mike
  21. Matt, as rhasler said welcome aboard. It is good to hear stories like this. Makes one feel proud to own these trucks. mike
  22. Tom, I believe i'm going to the ATHS SouthBend, Indy trip. I would enjoy going through the Studebaker Museum. I'm glad when I rarely go into a market that I don't get those magazines, cause I would find an excuse to buy another truck. That would keep me from restoring the one I already have. mike
  23. That seasoning is probably squid, octopus, dried fish, you name it, those people can eat you and not think anything about it. In Vietnam they like to sun dry their fish. Any soldier we had better not eat it for automatic discharge was instore. mike
  24. Hey i'm feeling left out. I never get any ridicule (dahe, dahe). These are from weekend before last near Gatlinburg, Tn. Saw a B Model Firetruck closed cab under a carport but did not get the picture. mike
  25. Buy it or get it somehow. Just don't let it go to the scrap yard. Someone will need something when you least expect it. Thanks for posting it! mike
