  5. Man I hate it for you. I hope you can find the parts or whatever you need. I would get your mechanic to go through the whole tranny. I've seen on different threads in the BMT web-site this company PAI, and have looked for it and have never found it. PAI must be a short name for this parts company. Can someone shed some light on this company? Regards mike

    Rowdyrebel

I would call that a NIGHTMARE dreaming about another man. Actually, Rowdy is at Rob's place fueling up all of the Macks so Rob can get down the driveway. mike
  7. Yes that is another great time to get the Vaseline out when your doing assembly work. Right Glenn? mike
  8. You might send a pm to Rob in the members section of this BMT web-site for that question. He can advise on this subject. mike
  9. Mark if it had not been for the Mack in the grill I would never had known what it was other than a foreign make, if I had seen it for myself. Looks like someone is or was trying to fix it's body. You must be in California? mike
  10. Thanks rhasler for the posting of the original unit. I hope Mack still has the gasket. I've had the filter brace welded. It was broken where it was bolted to the pad in several places. It should have been mounted to the frame instead of on the engine. Also had welded one of the intake bolt holes was busted from the filter bracket too loose. mike
  11. RHasler, Is this the gasket for the plate on the block that has the piping leading out to the filter? I'm now wondering how thick this gasket is in order to have the proper PSI. I still have the original setup and same engine as Larry. I'm assuming a person has to make this gasket? mike
  12. Sounds to me like the dog is trying to tell mackpro that hes tired of figuring all of this truck stuff out and needs a vacation at tha lake with his buds. mike
  13. Yea I feel your pain here to Randy. It has been 91 with 30 knot winds. Took me a long bike ride yesterday and had to stay in the middle of the road not knowing which way the winds were going to hit. Took back roads mostly but jumped on the interstate for about 12 miles and got off because the traffic was terrible and also winds from the trucks added to it. mike
  14. Worked in the yard all day, mowing, had new shrubs planted. Rode Harley 1st time this year today also. Need rain here Mark, badly.

  15. Rob, Would'n it be easier to fix and install what you have? mike
  16. Tom I saw your name listed and also saw your mixer listed in living color in an interesting style. I'm also in the book but, did not figure how to get a picture of my truck to them in time for the book. I need to get a photo to Barry for the calendar. I've been waiting to find the people home at an old store with the Sinclair Gasoline pumps, so I may ask if it is ok to take a photo of my truck on their property. But have not seen anyone outside evertime I go by the place. mike

    Special Day:

Congratulations Rob, what have you named the baby? mike
  18. Ok Tom, I think we are having betts on what kind of truck it is. I'll hold the money until you get back. Ya know it will be safe with me. Roanoak Or Bust mike
  19. Aj, I'm just going on the assumpion of a total restoration of your truck. I thought you had cleaned the air tank and lines, new governor etc.during your restoration. I installed a 115 lb. valve on the air tank and it escapes air at 120 lb. but my truck was not touched in the air system when I did that. It worked like a champ before I decided to tear the truck down, although it needed a total air system clean out and remanufactured compressor. It could still be the unloader valve in the compressor head since you have gunk. I would clean the system and then see how it performs before replacing parts. Let us hear from ya. mike
  20. Hey Otherdog, Just now got the May issue of Consumer Reports and they show STUBB'S has the best rating of any BBQ sauce and Archer Farms at Target stores Texas Style next. Then Emeril's Original BAM! BBQ also at Walmart Great Value Original. Then KC Masterpiece, we've all heard of. Bull's Eye, Sweet Baby Ray's, Bone Suckin' Sauce, Kraft Original, and last but not leastis Jack Daniel's Original #7. Just thought You'd Like To Know.......very important stuff ya know. mike
  21. By the looks of the hood, I would have to say it belongs with the truck cause of the fold or crease in the metal around the hole. But hey.......I was only six years old when your truck was built. Hmmm.......lets see now.......i'm now only a few more years older than that.
  22. AJ, Do you have a pressure release valve on the tank? It should release the pressure and let it drop down enough to build up again. Not saying this is the fix. My whole air system had oily crud. Mainly the air tank. mike
  23. I'm still trying to figure why Mack would have put a hole in a good hood just to install a oil tank. mike
  24. Go to the web-site oldmacksrus.com then click on info. If you need precise info then you will need to find a weigh station in your area. They will love to see you come in with your truck. But be sure you park and go in and ask what your truck weighed before they forget. mike
  25. David, Do you mean "Communist Organizer"? mike
