  2. Mornin Tom, Yea I just sprayed Mean Green solution for what I thought was redickulous amount of times into the filter and the main large housing and got mostly oilly grease and fine amounts of dirt, not alot, but what I thought was not bad for this set-up. The owner before me must of had someone take care of important issues mostly. I now have the engine ready to take out of it's frame so it can be gone through and I want to paint it the original blue/ green it was once upon a time. mike
  3. What about the oil bath filters ran on the B Models, does anyone feel that this was good and should stay with that set-up? I cannot remove a filter from its housing on my B and have to clean it by back flushing with a cleaner, let it dry and install with oil up to it's designated mark on the housing. I like this system because I feel it helps lubricate the valves in the upper part of my engine. I have not seen any large debris when I flushed the system last year for the first time since i've owned the truck since Sept. 2008. mike
  4. Congratulations on your find. mike

  13. AJ.....i'm at an awe.....you've done an awesome job. If I had known sooner.....I would have tried to setup a time to have came by to see you and your B-Model cause I visited Freightrain in North Canton, Ohio this past sunday. I had an excellent time at Freightrains and got to see the Battlestar Gallactica and his accomplisments on his great looking B-Model Mack. I didn't want to leave and go home. I drove over a thousand miles that day. Left at 2:15a.m. and got home at 11:18p.m. that same night. Went straight to bed and didn't wake until 8:38 a.m. the next day. Went to bed monday evening at 8:00p.m. and up the next day tuesday at 8:00a.m. .....man did I need the sleep.....don't remember when i've got that kind of much needed rest. mike

      just drink lotsa whiskey

  15. Makes my bones ache just thinkin about the stuff. I'm a sissy when it comes to cold weather, winds 15-20 mph. It was wonderful when I was a kid and we got out early from school sometimes. Probably 5 years ago I would ride my motorcycles in bad weather. The Harley only when it was cold and only around the block. But the GoldWing would get a 200 mile trip at night in any weather. For some reason i'm not accomplishing that anymore. More power to ya! mike
  16. Hey, Not trying to brake the thread but, where do ya purchase the Chassis Saver? mike
  17. Grant, If I spend 50k then i'll have to call Rob to come pick it up and take it home with him. Then i'll be broke and living in a cardboard box downtown Nashville under the Cumberland River bridge. mike
  18. Hey AJ. Makes me wish I were further along on mine. Keep up tha good work. Like ducky said take it slow and easy. Those copper air lines look really good. Take more pictures as you go. Thx mike p,s. Where is Blakesly, Ohio ?
  19. Time for dual electric fans. mike
  20. I know this is a very strange thing to say on this web-site, but I feel led to tell ya. My dad has been passed for several years now. Anyway when mom was going through some of dads things, she found a Mack Bull Dog key fob. We cannot figure why he had that and don't know how long he had the fob. Mom was the only person knowing of me buying the Mack. I didn't trouble dad about it. She found the fob and it even surprised her and told me to come and look at what she had found. I have my ignition key on that fob at this time. I guess in dads memory. Thanks DAD! mike
  21. Yes, That was what my dad was talking about. He worked for Cummins Diesel for a short time back in the mid-fifties. I think he was partial to the Cummins Engines. I barely recall him saying the Injectors or pump was easier to service. Thanks Guys mike
  22. Hey Rob, What happens if the engine starves from lack of fuel? My dad once said something about diesel engines running away. He had been a diesel mechanic early in his life but I cannot recall why or what he said about what causes a diesel to run away. Can you elaborate on that and how to eliminate it from happening? mike
  23. That's a fancy woodchuck ya got there thunderdog. I like it, just don't see enough of them running around anymore. mike
  24. Hi Jocko, As Glenn has indicated it would be to your advantage to pull the gasket or seal and take it with you to a gasket, rubber company. They can at your request make or match your size seal diameter and thickness. mike
  25. Not trying to put you off on someone else but, if you would pm Bobby tha (bumblebee) he seems to have the same truck as you do. In fact his and your vin# is close. And I bet you can get all or most of your answers from him, plus he's a great guy to know. I met him at a truck show in 2009 and we had a blast. Hope this helps you. mike
